I was awaken by Bellamy waking up. I must've fallen asleep on his chest. He sat up with a jolt and I flew off him ready for a fight.
"Whats wrong!" I demanded.
"Just...a bad dream," He said looking worried and shocked.
Murphy came over to us and handed Bellamy a cup of water.
"Here," Murphy offered.
"Get the hell away from me," Bellamy said pushing him back.
"Bellamy..." I sighed.
"Bellamy you're sick, okay. Im just trying to help," Murphy informed.
Bellamy's nose started to bleed again and Murphy handed him a rag. Bellamy ignored to offer and wiped it on his sleeve.
Out of the corner of my eye I noticed movement. Clarke was walking toward us not looking much better than Bellamy.
"When I get better, if you're still here-," Bellamy started.
"Hey," Clarke smiled. "I got this one."
Murphy handed her the cup and got up. He looked relived.
"I'm gonna talk to Murphy for a little bit," I said standing and following him.
I tapped him on the shoulder gently and he turned around, "I'm gonna try to get Bellamy to give you a second chance."
"Yeah right like he'll even think of it for a second," Murphy snorted.
"Well it's worth a shot," I smiled a little.
"Yeah, one right through me head," He hissed.
I smiled a little at his cockiness.
"Well it's worth a shot, just try not to cause any trouble," I sighed.
"Trouble. Me? No," He smirked.
I smiled walking away. My smiled frowned as I realized how late it was. Sterling and I were supposed to have our date. If I was lucky I didn't miss it but I most likely did.
I started to walk out of the ship until I heard Bellamy and Clarke talking.
"It's almost dawn," Bellamy sighed. "We gotta get everyone inside. If we lock the doors maybe the grounders will think we're not home."
"Not everyone's sick," Clarke protested.
"Sick is better than dead," Bellamy hissed.
"You don't think Finn and Jasper are gonna pull it off," Clarke realized.
"Do you?" Bellamy asked.
"I'll get everyone inside," Clarke sighed.
If Jasper doesn't hit the target in just the right spot, the explosive won't work and the grounders will kill us all. Quickly, I ran out of the drop ship and gathered my things. I grabbed a gun and a knife and ran off in the direction to the bridge. I sprinted all the way there because it was about 1.5 miles away and I didn't have much time. The path there was overall pretty easy and not very rocky so it wasn't hard. But by the time I started to near the bridge I was out of breath. A stick cracked ahead of me and I stopped lifting my gun. In all honesty I have never shot a gun but it can't be that hard. Slowly, I creeped my way forward walking around a tree. Standing there was Finn and Jasper. Jasper had his gun up aimed in my direction.
"Beth?" Jasper looked perplexed.
"I came to help," I smiled walking to them.
"Well come one we don't have much time!" Finn exclaimed. "Raven went to set up the bomb herself."
Then what sounded like a huge drum rang out.
"Did you hear that?" Jasper asked.
"War drums," I sighed.
Then Finn took off leaving Jasper and I standing there.
"We're running toward the war drums," Jasper yelled.
I smiled an both of us ran after Finn the rest of the way to the bridge.
"Raven!" Finn yelled as we entered a clearing.
"Shes still building the bomb," Jasper noticed.
Before Raven could finish she fell over. Finns eyes widened.
"What are we gonna do!" Jasper yelled. "The bombs not finished!"
"Finn you grab Raven and I'll finish the bomb. Jasper as soon as I give the signal that the bombs finished you wait 15 seconds then shoot," I instructed. "If grounders are already here you shoot even if it hasn't been 15 seconds."
Jasper slowly nodded and Finn and I raced down the hill. Finn quickly grabbed Raven and I sat down by the bomb. Raven told us how to do it in the tent that one time so I went off of what I remembered. I took the the can and placed it on the ground. Then I put the explosive liquid in it. When I looked up I could see the lights from the grounders in the woods. I grabbed the gunn powder and sprinkled it over the explosive. Then I put the tinfoil with the X on it over the top. I gave Jasper the signal and started to run behind the rock that Finn did.
"Shoot Jasper Shoot!" Finn yelled.
Jasper took a shot and missed. He only had three bullets total so he only had two more tries. The the grounders started to get closer. Jasper took another shot missing again.
"Come on Jasper!" I yelled.
We could see him aim up the shot. But then nothing happened.
"It's jammed!" Jasper yelled.
Finn and I looked at each other. Grounders were just about to enter the bridge. I grabbed me gun and ran out on the bridge. I aimed my gun but when I was about to shoot a arrow flew and hit me in the leg. I fell scrambling to get my barring and crawling to the side of the bridge.
"Shoot Jasper!" I yelled.
He took the shot. Raven said you had to be about 200 feet away to not be killed in the explosion. I was about 10.
The bullet went strait into the bulls eye.
