It was time. Finally. I was leaving camp, probably just to die anyway. But what could you do. Instead of telling someone I just decided to leave. There wasn't much time.

Then a gun shot went off.

They were here, my chance may have been lost. Gun sounds kept going off but in front of the camp. So, if I left now out the back way I would probably be fine. So I grabbed my bag swinging it over my shoulders and also my knife contraption thing. I made sure no one was looking then jumped over the fence. Since no one called for me I figured I was home free. Either they didn't notice, or didn't care.

Right as I hit the ground I made my way into the forest. Making sure not to run to fast so I could go unnoticed if any grounders were along the way.

As soon as I hit the covered forest I took off running as fast as I could. Either I wouldn't die or I would. I'm going to use speed on this one. But then I heard it.

The yelling.

The agonizing yelling coming from my camp. Who knows who was already dead. Sterling? Clarke? Jasper? Octavia?...Bellamy...

I crouched down. Could I really just leave them like this. Of course there's not much I could do but... I wouldn't want to be the only person of my kind to survive. Or wonder if anyone lived through that. I dropped my bag on the ground and stood up. My knife was clutched tightly to my chest, as I took off running back to camp. The grounders were in the front so I'd be best if I went to the front. Of course I'd probably die right away. But what could you do? As I got closer the yelling got louder and so did the explosions.

But there was all of a sudden one that was greater than all the rest. It came from the sky. A huge ball of light came crashing from the sky. Was I imagining this? It couldn't be real. But it was real, it was the Arc. Descending from the sky down to earth. They were coming, they were finally coming home. Some of the ship exploded sending balls of fire to the ground miles away from here. Some descended peacefully giving me hope, they could save us!

I took off faster toward the camp. For that small second the fighting sounded like it had stopped but then a whole new sound filled the air. Like howls. Humans howled yelling and screaming. Were they from us or the grounders? I sprinted faster toward camp.

Finally I made it, but it wasn't at all what I was expecting. It was grounders fighting grounders, except you could easily tell the difference. The "new" grounders looked creeper and gross.

"Beth!" Finn yelled motioning for me to follow him.

I ran after him without question. This must have been dangerous. He started to go back into the camp, but I didn't come back to wait around and let others fight, I wanted to fight!

More motion caught my eye. It was Lincoln. Was he helping us? I followed behind him making sure no "new grounders or "old" grounders saw me. I followed him till he stopped behind some trees. I slowly went around the trees until I knew it was safe. Octavia and Lincoln were sitting there with a stunned Bellamy. I didn't interrupt them though, there was clearly tension around them.

Then something odd happened. Octavia and Bellamy started crying hugged then Lincoln grabbed Octavia bridle style and took her into the woods.

After they left I ran up to Bellamy crouching behind the large tree. I hugged him right away probably suffocating him.

"I thought you were leaving," He said hugging me back.

"I couldn't what would you guys do without me?" I smirked pulling away. "What the hell is-."

One of the "old" grounders yelled something and they came running toward our camp.

"Come on!" He whispered grabbing my hand as we ran toward camp.

We entered through a tunnel I didn't know we even had and joined people at the fence. The grounders were taking down the gate. People threw grenades but it only help a little.

"All right everyone get inside now!" Clarke yelled referring to the drop ship.

People started to run toward the ship. Few stayed behind and kept shooting. Bellamy and I started to run toward the drop ship to but the Bellamy, when I wasn't looking grabbed a gun. I continued until I was at Clarkes side.

"He's gonna kill him!" Clarke yelled as a huge grounder grabbed Bellamy and started beating him. Then Finn went and tried to help.

Clarke cried as they helped fight.

"Come on," Clarke whimpered pulling me toward the drop ship.

I followed keeping my eyes on Bellamy the whole time. She pulled me into the drop ship and pressed a huge button. The giant door started to close.

"Clarke! Stop Bellamys still out there! So is Finn!" I ran over to stop her but someone grabbed my arm.

"What's happening? The grounders will get through the doors anyway!" I cried.

"Where going to blast the ship making a ring of fire spread out, burning the grounders," Jasper answered.

"No! Bellamy! Hes-your going to-please!" I sobbed.

"Go upstairs Beth," Clarke soothed.

I ran up the latter as fast as I could all the way to the third level. Luckily everyone that was inside was on the bottom floor so I didn't have to worry about company.

I slammed the hatch behind me grabbing a pole of the wall and putting it in the between the handle and the latter. It easily locked it so no one could get in.

Then the sobs began. How could this have happened. I shouldn't have come back! Now Bellamy is going to die! I didn't want to know, I rather go away and wonder about the possibility of him surviving. I cries and cries until sleep heartbreak consumes me making everything turn black.
