Sterling and I couldn't actually leave because of the storm but he did take me behind the drop ship where no one could see us. We just sat there at the rain started to drizzle onto us. It wad only sprinkling now but by the look of the sky it was gonna get a hell of a lot worse.
"So who exactly is Raven?" I asked.
"Well, she was on that drop ship that came from the Arc. Apparently Finn and her are dating," He smiled.
"Poor Clarke," I sighed.
Clarke and Finn totally had a thing. She really liked him in a way I have never seen her like someone before. When we were younger she swore she loveeddd this guy but, she never looked at him the way she looked at Finn. Finn looked the same way at her to. But Raven also looked at Finn that way. Honestly, I hope he leaves Raven.
Sterling grabbed my hand and squeezed it. "Whats going on with you and Bellamy?"
"Were just in a fight," I replied.
"It seemed like a lot more than that," He laughed.
"Well it wasn't!" I spat.
"Okay okay. Sorry," He sighed.
After that things got awkward between us. Sterling must of known something was definitely up between us so he made up a lame excuse and left. I stayed in the same spot now soaking wet from sitting here so long. Thunder cracked and I could see lighting bolts come from the sky. The rain and wind both got really heavy and the ground was all muddy.
"Everybody in!" Someone yelled.
I stayed in the same spot not afraid of a little storm. I could hear the people gathering into the drop ship.
All those movies I've seen where the main character just sits somewhere because something bad happens and they decide to give up remind me of the exact decision I am in now. I just wanted to be done. I wanna sit here and never have to do anything ever again. Just sit here and sink into the mud than eventually disappear. Like the rest if the dead 100.
"Bethany? Bethany!" Sterling ran over to me and whipped a tear from my face. "Whats wrong?"
I hadn't even realized I was crying. Or maybe it was just rain.
"I could hear you sobbing all the way from the front of the drop ship. Even with the storm," He grabbed my arm. "We have to go!"
"Just leave me. Let the storm take me, I can't walk anyway," I cried some more.
"Geese, you sound like a cheesy movie line maker," He laughed. Sterling than scooped me up into his arms and carried me to the front of the drop ship.
He carried me quickly inside. When he sat down onto the ground he kept me in his arms. At this moment I realized maybe I really did have feelings for Sterling.
