I woke up with a start. It was still night and everyone was still up. They were all on edge and talking almost as loudly as possible. I knew that wasn't the real reason I couldn't sleep though. I had to tel Bellamy. I had to tell him that I love him. If I didn't it would eat me up inside.
I got up shakily and started to walk toward his tent. When I got there the flap to it opened but instead of it being Bellamy, it was Raven. She was putting her jacket on. She looked at me like she was about to say something but then just walked away. Did she just sleep with Bellamy? My body started to tense up. I clenched my fists and my jaw.
What an ass! Both of them! How could Bellamy do this to me! I loved him!
I stomped over to my backpack and threw it over my shoulder. I had never been this angry in my life. Making sure no one was looking I snuck out one of the holes in the fence. All I had for a weapon was the spear type thing I had made earlier.
I trudged into the woods. Everything made me mad right now. All the little bushes that were in my way frustrated me even the sounds of birds chirping.
I leaned against the side of a tree. Bellamy and Raven might have not even slept together. They could have just been discussing something. Just as I was about to keep walking I heard someone walking. It obviously wasn't a grounder cause they're quiet.
I peeked around the tree to see Monty.
"Monty?" I asked stepping out.
"Beth, what're you doing out here?" He asked.
"I could ask the same to you," I smirked.
"We're trying to Find Clarke, Finn and Myles. They never came back," He sighed.
"Who's Myles?" I asked.
"He's some kid that came down with us," He said as we continued to walk.
"You're heading west right Bellamy?" Monty said into his walkie talkie. "Where are you?"
"Just keep the moon on your left and you'll find us," Bellamy answered.
"Where did you get walkie talkies?" I asked.
"Raven made them," He showed me.
"Look as much as I would like to help you... I'm not exactly good with Bellamy and Raven. So I'll catch you later." I then turned around and left him.
I started to follow the trail that would lead me back to the camp. But then there was some rustling in bushes next to me. I slowly started to walk to them. Then it went completely silent.
Slowly, I pulled them pushes apart. A huge bird flew out at me and I screamed falling backward. I caught myself on my elbows. The bird flew off into the trees and I wiped my face. I never realized how scared I really was being out in these woods.
"Beth! What happened?" Bellamy said running over to me and kneeling down.
"Nothing I'm fine," I hissed standing up.
"What's wrong?" He asked grabbing my arm.
"I said I'm fine!" I ripped my arm out of his grasp.
Then Bellamys walkie started to buzz.
"Bellamy we found Myles!" Octavia said.
"Okay," He said. "Come on we have to go."
"I'm not going anywhere with you," I spat looking away.
"Bellamy hurry! He was shot with an arrow," Octavia persisted.
"Okay I don't know what the mood swings are about, but we need to go now. So stop acting like a stupid child and come on," Bellamy grabbed my arm and pulled me toward the direction Octavia and Raven must have been in.
I didn't argue because I didn't want someone to die because of me. Well I'd say it'd actually be Raven and Bellamys fault...but that's just me.
We ran right up to them to see Myles with a arrow through his chest.
"Myles, where's Finn and Clarke?" Raven asked.
"Grounders...took them..." Myles coughed.
"We have to get him back to camp," Bellamy sighed.
"Bell what about Clarke and Finn?" Octavia asked.
Raven stood starting to tear up.
"Raven," Bellamy said standing up, "I'm sorry."
Raven glared at Bellamy then bent down by Myles, "We need to make a stretcher."
"You know I'm surprised you care, it had looked like you already moved right on earlier," I added.
Then, the mood completely changed. We all just kinda sat there awkwardly. Bellamy gave Raven a look.
"Monty we're going back, where are you?" Bellamy asked into the walkie talkie diverting our attentions. But Monty didn't answer.
Then I thought, maybe I should have stayed with him. What if the grounders took him? Or killed him?
"Maybe we should go look for him," I suggested.
"No we have to get back," Bellamy argued.
"Yeah I think we should go back to," Octavia added. "Maybe his walkie talkie died so he decided to go back."
With that we made a stretcher with wood and veins. Then we carefully lifted Myles onto it and Raven and Bellamy carried it.
__________
It took only about 15 minutes to hike back to our camp. But that meant the grounders camps were probably only a little than 15 minutes away from us.Which could be extremely bad. If it only took that long for them to get to us- plus we didn't know when they were coming- we had no chance.
Bellamy kept glancing toward me as he talked to some guards. I just glared in return. Although I was angry...it was extremely hard to be mad. All I wanted is to finally be with this boy. To be able to kiss him whenever, and confide in him about whatever.
Out of the corner of my eye I could see Sterling walking toward me. I looked around for somewhere to go so I could dodge an awkward conversation, but it was to late.
"Hey Beth!"
"Sterling," I smiled.
"So you and Bellamy then?" He smirked.
Geez, he got over us fast.
"Nope," I answered crossing my arms.
"What? Why?" He asked almost as if he was concerned.
"Bellamy likes to... sleep around," I sighed.
"That's terrible I'm sorry," He pulled me in for a tight friendly hug.
I caught Bellamys eye. He was hardcore glaring at us. Bellamy said something to a one of the guards then started to stomp toward us.
All this time a storm was brewing, not just with the grounders, but with Bellamy and I. Something that was actually personal.
And the storm was finally here.
