The Devil's Attorney

New York

"The man is suing you for wrongful termination, he will drop all charges if you offer money and apologize, why can't you make my life easier? Do it!"

Shen Yue had to be the most outrageous woman to accept being part of Dylan Wang's legal team.

He was a business expert. He was known to be ruthless.

She had been his legal advisor for 3 long years in which he had never thanked her or called her by her full name.

The more she got to know him the more she hated herself to stay for the hefty sum of money.

He was always at fault, but somehow he got his way in every lawsuit. There was something sinister about him. A dark aura looming over his very masculine frame.

He was expensive, even his gaze was first class.

He had never struck her as a kind person. In fact, Shen Yue thought he had no heart.

She always had to clean his messy affairs, and did he apologize?

Never.

She had to offer compensation for his wrong doings, to which he never admitted.

She had to cheat the system or simply find an immoral way to steer his name away from scandal.

She assumed he repaid her hard work with dollar bills multiplied by the thousand.

"Mr. Wang for you." He corrected her "impolite" way to address him.

With Dylan Wang titles were important.

Such reversed mind, Shen Yue thought.

He hated rude people, but he was discourteous himself or at least everyone claimed he was ill mannered.

To his favor, no one had ever seen him cuss an employee or lose his patience during a business treaty.

There were so many mysteries within his character.

"I'm a lawyer from Harvard Law School. I've been your legal advisor for the past 3 years. Protected your back more times than I can count. I say we are equal, and I can be informal. You are giving me too many issues!"

Dylan Wang thought Shen Yue was his golden prize. The paper clip to his agenda. She kept everything easy and running without any major problems.

She was the expensive Ivy League lawyer for a reason. He wanted zero questions asked and more work done.

"When you build your own empire, and your net worth is half of mine we can address each other informally Ms. Shen. Until then do your job. Good afternoon, you can leave now."

Did he ever flench or clenched a muscle?

His words moved pass his lips with flow and sophistication.

He was a busy man of course. Busy and dismissive all at once. No one ever felt important around him. He made sure there was a boundary between employer and employee.

"Mr. Wang, I quit!"

He was sure he had heard that a few times from that harmonious voice.

Shen Yue turned on her heel but his stern tone made her stop dead on her tracks.

"Having issues with your attorney statues Ms. Shen?"

Shen Yue fisted her hand still giving him her back.

"You know what they call me?"

She didn't wait for him to ask.

"The Devil's Attorney!"

Dylan Wang had the audacity to laugh.

"That sounds about right. You should be proud to represent me and my company."

Shen Yue turned around shamelessly glaring to the man that had made her earn her small fortune.

"Mr. Wang I will hand you my two week notice first thing Monday morning."

She went back to her passive aggressive.

Dylan arched brown said he didn't agree with her last words.

"Ms. Shen every year you come into my office saying the same thing and every year you stay. I doubt you would find a better salary. Now let's go back to our due diligence."

She open the wood oak double doors only to stop right there not bothering to look again.

"This time I will."

Dylan Wang saw the young lady leave.

He smiled. In 3 years that was the first time he had paid full attention to his lawyer.

He knew two things about her, she was sharp with her work and she was pricey to keep.

She was definitely getting ballsy.

It took her 3 years.

Saint before, wicked now.

He thought she belonged to his team.

Ones the Devil's Attorney always the Devil's Attorney...

Author Notes:

Hello everyone 🥰

I honestly don't why or how I got to writing this 😂😂 but I all the sudden remember the Devils Advocate and built my own version of it within minutes.

My head sometimes 😂

We'll see where I take this.

I trust my gut, that's how The Advisor started I just randomly wrote something so 🤷🏻‍♀️
