🎵Hello, it's me
I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet
To go over everything
They say that time's supposed to heal ya
But I ain't done much healing

Hello from the outside
At least I can say that I've tried
To tell you I'm sorry for breaking your heart
But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you 🎶apart anymore
— Hello / Adele

It had been years she had seen him.

After she married his cousin, she contained her feelings. All she wanted was to run to him, to close her eyes and forget the past. To not hurt anymore.

She convinced herself they were not meant to be, that she had healed. Tried for years to make things work with Connor.

She had to give it to her ex-husband he actually put an effort. It was hopeless to see his attempts to make her love him, her heart was Dylan's.

She also made mistakes, the biggest was staying quiet. Her second mistake was marrying a man she knew she didn't love.

Dylan was like a ghost that followed her everywhere. It was her fault for avoiding the past, for not being brave.

Dylan arrived early to his mothers house. Went ahead to met her but she wasn't there. Instead there was a note saying she was going to be back later that night.

It was a set up, Leah was the one waiting outside the porch when he was about to go back to his hotel.

Leah felt nervous to see him, no one else around to interrupt.

He was as handsome as ever.

She stoop up quickly, carefully fixing the wrinkles of her long skirt.

Dylan appared to be serious. It was normal to see him that way after he become successful.

"Good morning Dylan." She said nervously.

Inside his heart pounding.
"How are you Leah?"

His stern voice made her want to cry. She was happy to see him, but it pained her to be treated like a stranger.

"I'm doing great, thank you. Nice weather... sorry. I asked your mom to let us talk."
Her eyes lingering past pain.

"I suppose. Nothing uncommon for Seattle." His tone was definitely missing the warmth they used have.

She expected that much.
It hurt regardless...

She bit her lip in order to control her feelings.

"How to begin... I need to tell you the whole story."

He didn't think outside was the best place.
"Why don't we go inside, it's cold. You want coffee?"
