The Secretary rushed into attorney Shen Yue's office.
"Do you know how to knock?" She snapped not bothered to look up.
A tall man walked inside unannounced.
"Hello dear cousin!"
Shen Yue peered up from a tall stack of court documents.
When she realized who it was she rolled her eyes. "You know, I was having a great day up until now. What do you want?"
The Secretary gave attorney Shen a pleading stare. Shen Yue fended her away with a hand, the girl had to grow a spine.
"Leave us, and next time try to do your job." The poor Secretary was a nervous wreck.
Connor give his usual whistle. "You have a nasty attitude you know that?" He took a seat Shen Yue never offered him.
"Like you can see I have much work, what the hell do you want?" She didn't like to go around circles. Patience was not exactly her forte when it came to other people, specially the day her husband left for Seattle.
"C'on Cambridge, don't act like you don't remember me. We used to party together!"
Shen didn't want to remember that time.
"I have to give it to you, you are a magnificent actress. My cousin was stupidly in love that he didn't notice anything back then."
Shen Yue put down her pen finally paying attention to the insolent Connor Leong.
"I can hardly remember you, we were not friends. I only saw you during parties, and all you did was act like a complete idiot. You still do."
Connor laughed loudly. "Cambridge, remember how you used to obsess with my cousin? I didn't know you took it this far!"
Shen Yue was already birthing a migraine thank to him. "It's all a coincidence. I never imagined the business student would end up a billionaire. I didn't plan any of this. I completely forgot about you and your cousin until I was hired for the job. Don't try to make a mess of things. Whatever feud you have with Dylan, leave me out of it."
Connor arched a brow, "sure Cambridge, keep acting like you didn't do anything."
Shen Yue pointed to the door. "You can leave now."
Connor mischievous face didn't agree. "Not until I'm done here. So, you do know my ex-wife is meeting with Dylan as we speak, right?"
Shen Yue didn't expect to hear that. "What do you mean?"
Connor snorted, "oh, you didn't know Dylan's ex-girlfriend is also my ex-wife?"
Was he joking? "Do you remember my cousin had a girlfriend back then?"
