Present Time L.A.
She danced slowly in the middle of the crowd. Her body swayed to a popular song.
Men levitated around her.
It was that that little black dress. Or her I-don't-give-a-damned attitude. Whatever it was she was enchanting half the room full of testosterone.
Dylan Wang had left that morning to New York, or at least that is what he had informed Curtis who stayed behind.
The extravagant English man was all in for having a fun night out with everyone.
Shen Yue's claims of Mr. Wang being a bore resonated. He was the only one who had gone back to New York in a fine and sunny day.
Everyone wondered if he ever enjoyed life or did he just stay glued to his stocks and business affairs?
No one really knew much about his personal life. Not even Curtis his assistant could confirm Shen Yue's infamous office rumor. He didn't look gay, he didn't even act gay, for all they knew he had a secret life as a mercenary and no one really knew.
Dylan had said nothing else when he got kicked out of her room.
She was expecting maybe a goodbye kiss. Those were high hopes. She knew her lover, he was not the kind to stay behind and beg for anything.
She danced with a few men that sparked her fancy, but Shen Yue had a very bad tendency to judge people, especially by the way they carried themselves. Most time she was right.
One by one she dismissed. The excuse pretty much the same. They were too much of this, or lacking on that.
The reality was they were not Dylan Wang. No one matched the looks, intense stare, power, and dominance which turned her on any day of the week.
She told their little group she was going out for air.
One man followed her. She quickly disbanded his persuasive ways. "Thank you, not interested. Leave." Her standoffish sent anyone packing or she had the brave ones that called her every name in the book.
Bruised egos did that to anyone, she would know. Dylan Wang had bruised her ego a while back and her response was pretty much the same if not worse.
The man didn't leave and stated to get awfully close. "Sweetheart I saw the way you were dancing; you need to get laid."
Shen Yue laughed, "yes, but not by you. Go before I sack your balls."
The man kept moving. "Such a foul mouth of yours. I can teach you to behave."
She turned her attention smiled prettily and shove him hard to the side.
"Are you asking for your death wish?!" He pulled her, and she kneed him right where it hurt.
