A very faint beeping noise fell into pace. His eyes adjusted to the light.
Somewhere in the room he heard a whisper.
"Hi..."
Then again, the sweet voice inviting him to be fully aware. "Can you hear me? How are you feeling?"
He moved his face to the direction of that voice.
"Baby...?"
It was even more sweet than her first.
He grinned.
Dylan was sure he was dreaming, again.
"Hi." He whispered back with a soft smile.
Her face came closer, she was worried.
"Are you ok?"
Dylan lost himself in those forest lake eyes. "Why are you so beautiful?"
She stroked his cheek relaxing a bit. "Let me call the nurse."
Then he was able to move his hand over hers.
The soft tap had her beautiful eyes widen and her lips parted slightly to suck in air.
He didn't miss the effect he had on her. He wished he knew it was real. Was it?
He gave her his most beautiful smile, closed his eyes and his hand dropped.
Shen Yue went into panic mode when he drifted off.
The nurse came rushing in.
She checked the vitals. "Mrs. Wang your husband fell asleep. It's quite normal, after effects of general anesthesia and pain killers."
Was she always going to have a panic attack when he fell asleep?
Every so often she checked the monitor for his pulse. Anxiety didn't let her fall asleep for more than an hour.
She didn't realized she also passed out after a few minutes of following the waves on the monitor.

Dylan was wake staring at her.
She woke up to a gentle touch on her head.
She immediacy picked up her head to collided with his eyes.
Shen Yue felt tingles all over her body.
His eyes scanning hers. She tilted her head down realizing she had cried all day and she was a complete disarray.
"How are you feeling?" she asked him fidgeting with her hands.
Dylan grinned, Shen Yue shy, no way.
"Great now that I know you are safe."
"You disabled your software for me..." she trailed off
He was possibly losing a big chunk of money as they spoke. Many lawsuits were stocking on top of each other, it was a huge mess, but she was not going to mention it.
