"Huh? Really?!" I exclaim loudly.
"Yes, you were out for a short time. Just about half an hour." He answers calmly, seemingly not noticing the storm brewing inside of me. I messed the anime up, didn't I? I totally messed the anime up. I stare at Satotz in bewilderment, waiting for him to continue.
"Do you want me to fill you in on what transpired after you passed out?" Not trying to make my nod too overeager, I bob my head up and down, my eyes shift over to him.
"After you fell unconscious..."Third p.o.v (after Akira fell unconscious)
People are checking upon Akira, ensuring that she is alright before they carry her off the field when Hanzo turns to the Chairman.
"When she wakes up, there is a chance she'll refuse her license." He warns, waiting for a response as the Chairman is silently staring at him, his normally joyful expression has made place for a serious, slightly pensive one.
"That sounds like something Akira and Gon would do." Gon chuckles nervously, a sweat drop slides down his temple as Leorio throws him a warning look that says 'if you do the fucking same as Akira I will beat you ass'. Kurapika nods next to Leorio, agreeing quietly with him. Meanwhile Killua is glancing suspicious at Hanzo, ignoring Gon's concerned eyes thrown his way.
"Only one person will fail this round, right?" He pauses, waiting for the Chairman to confirm his question. Behind him is Akira carried away, thrown over someone's shoulder like a sack of potatoes. "If Akira fails, wouldn't that make the rest of our fights meaningless?"
"Don't worry. Akira has passed." Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio are captivated, "Nothing she says can change that." The three of them let out huge sighs of relief, tension flows out of their shoulders.
"If Akira were to threw a fit and kill me, we still wouldn't be able to revoke her license." Hanzo hums, uncurling his arms, "Very well." He muses as he intends to walk away so the next fight can begin. Looking close to pouting, Killua speaks up, addressing the invisible elephant in the room.
"Why did you let her win?" Hanzo halts in his movements, seemingly debating something before he turns towards Killua.
"Let her win?" He narrates.
"I'm sure you knew how to make Akira surrender without killing her. Given your skills." He almost accuses blatantly. The rest on the sidelines glance down at him, Leorio and Pokkle looking speechless while Gon and Kurapika have a disapproving glance in the eyes. Hanzo stares at Killua, searching for something in his face. Apparently he has found it as he fully turns his body towards him, and closes his eyes.
"When I torture someone, I expect that person to hate me for the rest of their life. It's more effective and less stressful." He confides, opening his eyes to stare straight into Killua's blue ones. "When someone is in pain, their eyes show a gleam of hostility toward the one who is responsible for that pain."
"Even with extensive training, it is difficult to suppress that gleam of hate and rage." His voice sounds scornful for a moment before he blinks and it's gone again as quick as it came. "But there was no gleam in Akira's eyes."
"Can you believe it?" He asks to no one, "I had beaten her, and just broken her arm. But her eyes had already forgotten about that." His declaration is met with silence as Killua is busy gaping at him, not knowing what to say about it.
"I guess you could say she won me over." Hisoka leans his head back against the wall, a satisfied smile plays around his lips as if he has been proven right about something.
"If you need a reason, there you go." Hanzo retorts as he turns around to walk off, Leorio, Kurapika and Gon gauging Killua's reaction.Akira p.o.v
"Akira-kun, you were able to win over your opponent. Hanzo said so himself." Even though I watched this anime so many times... I stare down at my lap in awe, an excited smile spreads my lips. It feels really cool to have it directed at yourself.
"After that, the second match began." I quickly concentrate on Satotz voice again. "The second match was Hisoka versus Kurapika." He looks thoughtful, probably gathering his words.
"After the two of them fought for a while.."Kurapika jumps away from each Hisoka, wanting to take a breather and put some distance between them so he can his next move. He doesn't expect Hisoka to all of the sudden appearing next to him. He is planning on planting his elbow into Hisoka's face, but comes to an abrupt halt as the latter unexpectedly speaks up.
"Wha-" Kurapika cuts himself off, listening silently as his eyes widen. With an almost dramatic swirl, Hisoka turns away from Kurapika, swaying his hips as he walks away.
"I lose." Hisoka waves his hand as he walks off the field, a playful smile on his lips."And Kurapika won." Finishes Satotz, I hum softly and look away thoughtfully. I can remember that he whispered something to Kurapika, yes....but... I'm not exactly sure what. I squeeze my eyes shut, trying my hardest to remember what it was about again. A lightbulb goes off into my head.
I think it was mentioned somewhere when they rescued Killua! And if you are a fan and know Kurapika, it has a huge chance it was about the Spiders! I fist pump into the air, cheering and mentally patting myself onto the shoulder. Momentarily forgetting Satotz is still sitting next to me, he stares at me, debating whether or not if he should call for someone to check if I haven't incurred some brain damage.
"Akira-kun?" He asks hesitantly.
"Shit!" I jump into the air, rub the back of my neck, chuckling awkwardly as I turn back to him, "Ah... Sorry, I spaced out for a moment." Quickly thinking of something to get the story back on track, I blurt out, "Did you hear what Hisoka said?" He looks taken aback for a moment before shaking his head and settles down.
"No, I did not, but Hisoka voluntarily conceded." He strokes his moustache, "The third match was Hanzo against Pokkle." The look on Hanzo's face was something Satotz wouldn't want to describe. "Pokkle found himself in much the same positional you, but he admitted defeat immediately. That sealed the deal."
A nervous chuckle slips past my lips. I wouldn't want to fight with Hanzo either if it were under normal circumstances, but since it isn't... I sweat drop. I could've died if he wanted to use his sword, but still... I can barely hold my squeal in. It was so cool! Meeting Hanzo like that, I have to ask for his autograph! Shaking my head, I slap my right cheek and turn to Satotz, who looks quite bewildered by the whole ordeal.
"Satotz!" I nearly shout, and at the way He inches backwards, I probably used too much force.
"Yes, Akira-kun?"
"Can we go now? I really want to meet Gon-chan, Kura-chan, Oreo and Kil-chan again." I practically whine, slapping the sheets of the bed with my right hand in frustration. He blinks again, but shakes his head.
"I apologize, but you still need to re-Akira-kun?" Feeling a little bit bad about it, but my mind is set on it as I throw the covers off of me, and fling my legs over the edge of the bed. Ducking under his outstretched his arm I start walking towards the door, ignoring his calling and hurried footsteps behind me. I'm going to save Bodoro, help Killua, and beat Illumi if I have the chance! I think fired up, my ankle and right shoulder throbbing a bit. I pay no attention to Satotz's voice coming closer, instead it's like I'm tunnel focused on the door in front of me. I grasp the handle of the door, flinging it open.
"Aus dem Weg, Extras!" I scream, snickering as I think of Bakugou Katsuki. Heh.
"Akira?!"
"Aki!"
