Harper Payne

We got in the car and Paul drove us back down to the hotel, the pain in my rib was completely relieved by now. Once we arrived, they surrounded me again, it was a strange feeling. It definitely made me feel very important. "You're coming with me, into my room. That way, I can watch you." Louis demanded. "Oh, ok." I replied. They dragged me into the lift and once we got to Louis' room, he locked the door behind us. "Protective much?" I asked as I sat on the sofa and rolled my eyes. "Well, if I'd have taken better care of you before then you wouldn't be in this situation would you?" He asked, gesturing to my rib. "Oh shut up, don't even start blaming yourself." I warned. He laughed and began putting all his belongings in his suitcases.

"What room is Harry in?" I asked abruptly. "The one to the left of this one, don't do anything stupid." Louis warned, giving me the dead-eye. I gasped, mock-shocked. "I would never!" I exclaimed before giggling and opening the door to his room. I closed the door as I stepped into the hallway and began to walk towards Harry's room when I heard footsteps and whispers. Not again, I thought. I turned and saw the same group of girls who all had one thing dominant in their eyes. My death. I sprinted towards Harry's room and opened the door and jumped in before slamming the door. "Woah, a bit of warning next time!" Harry shouted as he quickly pulled on a shirt.

"I am so sorry!" I shouted, covering my eyes. "Just kidding babe, I don't really care." He smirked. "The girls..." I trailed off. Suddenly, an alarming thought came into my head. I quickly did a group call with all the boys. "Don't leave your rooms!" I shouted. "Why?" Zayn asked. Harry walked over to me with concern in his eyes as he rested his hand on my elbow. "The girls that beat me up and y'know just broke my rib, they're in the hallway again. I don't want any of you getting hurt." I explained. Tears began to swell in my eyes and flashbacks of what they did flashed through my head. Harry must've understood as he pulled me by my elbow into a hug.

"I'll call Paul now and get him to get rid of them. I didn't even see them on the way up!" I explained. I hung up and dialled Paul's number as Harry kept his grip tight on me. "Is everything ok?" Paul asked. I began to cry. It was weirdly difficult for me to talk about them, it sent weird feelings through me. I handed the phone to Harry. "Paul, the girls that hurt Harper are in the hallway." Harry said as he rubbed my back with the hand that wasn't holding my phone. I buried my head in his chest and let it all out. "I'll sort it." I heard Paul say. Harry hung up and put my phone in his pocket before wrapping his other arm around me as well. "Come on Harp, let's go and sit down, yeah?" He asked before taking my hand and leading me to the sofa.

He sat down and I sat next to him. I curled up on his side and put my head in the crook of his neck. After my tears had come to a minimal, he put his hand under my chin and pulled my jaw towards his face and our lips were reunited. He rested his hands on my waist as I kissed him back. I knew the intention of the kiss was to calm me down so I let it happen. One of his hands was rested on the back of my thigh and the other was gripped onto my waist. My hands however were tangled in his hair. It was so soft, like velvet. There was a knock on the door and I jumped up quickly, straightening my clothes and putting my hair into a ponytail just in case it gave anything away.

"Hello?" I asked without thinking as I opened the door. It was one of the girls and she grabbed my wrist and tried to pull me out the room. "Harry!" I squealed. As soon as he knew something was going wrong, he jumped up and ran over to me. He snatched me away from the girl and stood in front of me protectively. He was about to say something to the girl but I slammed the door in her face. I stood in front of him and put my hands on his chest, his heart was beating at like 3000 miles per hour. His eyes were full of something I'd never seen before, they were dark and intimidating. "Don't do anything you'll regret baby." I said. His features softened at the nickname and he was quick to wrap his arms around me. "Rib! Rib! Watch the rib." I warned. "Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry." He mumbled.

Suddenly, there were a few muffled shouts. I cracked the door open slightly with Harry right behind me, just in case. I saw Niall and Louis being held down by the girls, hands covering their mouths. I quickly slammed the door. "The boys, they must've heard me. That was probably their plan. Phone Paul. Phone Paul now!" I shouted. Harry pulled my phone out and tried unlocking my phone but failed. He handed it to me and I snatched it and rang Paul. He didn't answer and I got stressed. "We need to go out there. Now!" I shouted as I opened the door and stepped into the hallway. "PAUL! LIAM! ZAYN! HELP, NOW!" I screamed as I bolted down the corridor to where the boys were now pinned to the floor on their stomachs.

Liam and Zayn's doors both opened as I sprinted to the boys. Harry had fallen a few steps behind me and the other boys were behind him. "Harper! Don't risk your rib!" Liam shouted but I ignored him. My best friends were in trouble and they needed me. "What is going- OH MY GOD!" Paul shouted as he opened his door to see what all the commotion was about. I ran to the boys and tried to push the girls off them. Harry, Liam and Zayn caught up to me and helped. We all managed to pull a girl each off them but they were wriggling around and pushing and shoving. Paul came racing down the corridor as five security guards came running from the lift.
