Logging in to Twitter, Neil nearly dropped his phone as he saw the post on the band account. He ran a hand through his hair and sighed angrily, looking over at his fiancé, who had sat down beside him with their laptop beside her and their eldest in between her legs.
"Your dad is fucking pissing me off." He grumbled and quickly checked Adam's account, seeing the same post.
"To all my fans, my friends, my family, these words..."
Bryanna looked over at Neil as she ran her hand through their eldest daughter's hair, combing through the knots with her fingers. "What's wrong?" She asked, then looked down at her daughter who perked up.
"Bryanna, he literally just quit the band FOR no reason. Without TELLING anyone." Neil spat and locked his phone, dropping it on the wooden coffee table.
Bryana shook her head and quickly braided her eldest daughter's hair, then smiled as she thanked her and rushed off for bed. She grabbed her phone and unlocked it, quickly texting her father.
Dad, what the hell?
She sent the text and then texted again.
Why would you leave them high and dry like that? Especially when you're about to tour?!
Bryana bit on her lip and sighed, grabbing the laptop as she gazed down at the screen and continued to tap on the keyboard, as she emailed Sage's teacher back.
"Wow, I really don't know what to say." She spoke up finally, sending the email and then switching the tab to turn in Sage's homework.
"I'm pissed." Neil spoke up, picking his phone up off of the wooden coffee table with a sigh as it started to ring. He looked at the caller ID, then picked up. "Yeah." He answered, "No! He didn't tell me Jack shit."
Bryana watched as Neil got up and passed the living-room, then she closed the laptop and rested her hand on her growing bump with a sigh. "Babe, I'm going to bed." She spoke up, watching as Neil nodded up at her. She stood up and walked towards and then up the stairs. Bryana walked into the bedroom and stripped off her clothes, then changed into a pair of gray pajama shorts with a matching top. Once she was finished changing, she pulled back the blankets and slid into bed, drifting off to sleep before Neil could come up to bed.
..
"Mama! Mama!"
Bryana woke up to Elle snuggling up to her side and poking her cheek.
"Good morning." Bryana sighed as she opened her eyes and stretched her arms above her head. Once she finished stretching, she wrapped her arms around her youngest daughter and ran a hand through her long blonde hair that was pulled back by a pink headband.
"Hi mama!" Elle smiled happily and adjusted the headband. "Daddy said he was taking me to school."
"Okay, sweetheart." Bryana responded, rubbing her eyes. She wrapped her arm around her daughter and looked down at the outfit she was wearing. A pair of brown leopard print leggings and a black sweater. "Did daddy pack you lunch?" She asked as slowly slipped out of bed, lifting her daughter on her hip.
"Yeah." Elle responded and rested her head on her mother's shoulder.
"Good," Bryana responded and rubbed her belly as she got a sharp kick. Once it passed, she walked towards the stairs and then down and into the kitchen to prepare the kids breakfast.
To her surprise, Neil had a plate full of pancakes for all four of the kids.
"Babe! I was going to cook," Bryana spoke as she stepped into the kitchen and set Elle in a chair. "Thank you." She said, taking the plate for Joshua and cutting up the pancakes after she grabbed a knife from the drawer.
Neil smiled over at his fiancé and then set a plate in front of Elle, who graciously took it and dug in. As Sage and Dakota came down, fully dressed and hair done, Neil said good morning and passed them plates as well. "You have an ultrasound today, don't you?" He asked Bryana as he turned back around and cleaned up the dishes from making breakfast.
Bryana leaned up against the counter and hummed in response. "At ten," She spoke, setting Joshua's plate behind her. As she got another sharp kick, she pressed her hand on her belly and looked over at Neil. "I don't think the baby will take up hockey."
Neil stifled a chuckle and nodded, "Probably not." He cleared his throat as he started loading the dishes into the dishwasher. "I should be able to come this time."
