The Older Portman

~Chapter 13~

"This can't be it, can it,"Jake declared the second he found the loop.

"Loop entrances can be anywhere Jakey."

He, Emma and Millard went through the loop and I helped fulfill the second part of Jake's plan. Which was getting the little kids prepared withe the object to make the Hollows visible. Now, the waiting game had begun, and it was only a matter of time before we moved onto phase two. I kept a look out through the binoculars as I introduced Enoch with the walkie talkie. Something I should have done earlier considering he kept accidentally pressing the talk button. I see from afar Jake and Emma rushing toward us and I knew this was our cue.

"Enoch start now," I shout into the walkie talkie.

The kids on top of the loop roof start making snowballs and when the hollows were close enough according to the snow patterns and the people being shoved by the invisible forces I ordered the kids to start throwing then snowballs and we could start to see their forms.

"Phase two,"Hugh said as the children started throwing candies and Emma blew some cotton candy onto the creatures.

It was then when the loop door burst open and the skeletons of the people on the boat ran out with weapons in hand and the order to kill the hallows. I got down from the roof and pressed a kiss to Enoch's cheek,"so fucking cool," I whispered.

Unfortunately because of my slinged arm I couldn't do much so I used my pistols with my left hand, making me have a horrible aim. Somehow we managed to kill all the hollows, along with the wight that was giving them orders, and we started following Jake to where the Ymbrynes were.

"Alright, good job guys, it's time for Step 2."

"Save Miss Peregrine," Bronwyn exclaimed.

"That's sort of step 3," I say, sending her a small sympathetic smile,"first we've got to deal with Barron."

We all made our way to were Barron was and were listening to his rants about what he's done to make his plan work, it was until he came to an end when step two went into place. 

"Hugh, do it now," Jake shouted as bees flew out of Hugh's mouth and started attacking the other two wights.

It even bother one of the wights so much that she ended up ripping her skirt, exposing her money legs and tail which I assume was her peculiarity.

"Damn girl, when was the last time you shaved," I called out shooting her waist she turned to snarl at me as she grabbed a bucket of knives and chucked a knife at me before jumping up to the trapeze stand above. 

Before Barron could have another signature villain speech, Olive set his coat on fire. Unfortunately this only worked for so long when Barron took off his coat that was on fire and swung it at Olive,  knocking her to the ground.  I signal Bronwyn to pick up a chair and throw it, knocking Barron down, the only problem with that was that we didn't see the third wight and it grabbed Bronwyn who was being frozen by the wight in a kiddie circus pool. I drop my weapons and fully charge at the wight and tackle him with my left arm, knocking him to the floor so Olive could get the chance to break Bronwyn out. As I fought the wight, the fact that he has a peculiarity slipped my mind as he laid his hand on my shoulder. Without a hesitation, my shoulder started to freeze up, my dumbass thought it would be smart to use my hand to remove his hand from my shoulder, except my hand froze as well. I could feel myself start to freeze up and soon, my eyelids closed.

Warmth was the only thing I could feel, then the feeling of the ice thawing. Enoch's voice then the only thing I was hearing.

"...I never realized," I heard his mutter before lightly pressing his lips to mine.

"You never realized what," I whispered, a weak smile on my face as I realized I was face to face with him only to bring him into a passionate kiss. 

I slowly stood up to see Olive hastily pulling her glove on and I threw my arms around hers, causing as shriek to fly out of her mouth.

"Rosie, you're alright," I heard Bronwyn cheer out as she wrapped herself around my waist. 

"It'll take more than an Elsa-wanna-be to kill me," I smirked as summoned a towel for her and wrapped her tightly in it,"then I turned to Enoch and said in a more serious tone,"now where the hell is my brother?"

"He went after Barron that way," Enoch said pointing to an exit.

"That fucking moron," I growled out summoning a pistol and I marched in the direction that Enoch pointed at," I go under the ice for what a few minutes and he thinks it's his time to die-"

I was interrupted as Enoch gently pulled me back,"Rose I think you should stay back and I should-"

"Don't fucking patronize me Enoch, I got this. Plus you really think I'd forget your little stunt you pulled back at the house? Hell no, I'm going too."

He just sighed and nodded, and turned to Olive to get the kids back to the loop and together, the two of us went to face whatever the fuck Barron was up to,
