The two of us ran down the hall only to run into Emma.

"Rose, Enoch, where are the others?"

"They're safe. All of them are on the way to the Ghost Train," Enoch explained.

"Come on, Jake needs us. Barron's too strong," I mumbled, walking up ahead as quietly as I could.

Right before I reached the door, Emma started calling out.

"Jake?"

"Emma shut the fuck up," I whispered through gritted teeth.

"Jake," Enoch echoed Emma causing me to face palm.

Giving up we walked to the door way only to see double.

"Great, now there's two Jake's, my worst nightmare," I grumbled as I cocked my pistol.

"Emma? Wait, that's not me, it's Barron."

"Don't listen to him, Rose," the other Jake on the right said looking at me,"he's Barron. I'm Jake, that's Barron."

Enoch lifted the crossbow while I lifted my pistol and pointed it at the two of them,"Well, I got a better shot than Jake. So neither of you move until we sort this out," I growled out.

"Listen to me. I'm Jake. I grew up in Florida and I wanted to be an explorer, I never thought nothing would ever change because I was ordinary," the Jake on the left protested.

The wheels in my head turned, I haven't heard Jake say this out loud since he was a kid. Especially at his age with everything going on in his life I doubt that he would want to be an explorer no matter how fun it sounded.

"Wait! I told him all of this, she was my psychiatrist," the right Jake explained and my eyes widened, all the puzzle pieces falling in place.

"Look, you deal with him. I'll go find Miss Peregrine."

The second he took a step forward I pointed my gun at him, showing that I wouldn't hesitate to shoot him.

"Wait. I can that I'm me, because I am not ordinary. I can do something that no one else can, I can see the monsters," the right Jake said looking up at the ceiling.

Barron was lifted into the air, only to get his eyes removed. Well, well, well, how the turn tables have.

Without hesitation, Jake and I both shot the hallow and Jake cried out,"headshot Rose!"

I let out a squeal and wrapped him into a hug only to punch him in the chest,"you dumb little bitch! You thought that running after Barron by yourself was the smartest idea?!"

"We need to go. The loop is closing," Enoch interrupted," for those of us that are leaving," he finished throwing Jake a dark look.

We quickly made our way back to the loop entrance where I wrapped Jake in a tight hug, tears threatening to spill as I pressed a kiss to his forehead. One by one, each of the children said their thank yous and goodbyes to Jake, even Enoch who settled for a handshake. We all walked into the loop, as I spared one last glance at my little brother. The second I walked back into the loop I broke down on the floor already missing my brother. Little did anyone of us know, Jake was doing his best to get back to us.

Two months had passed and things have changed since then, I was slowly introducing the children to pop culture. I had fixed up a little shed and opened a tattoo shop, secretly hiding the fact that I was a girl. I had gotten three more tattoos and hell, even Enoch asked for a tattoo a small heart on the left side of his collarbone. Enoch and I's relationship was going strong, Enoch opening up to my crazy ideas, along with being a bit more sentimental. It was a sunny day when everything changed and the dark cloud in the back of my brain finally cleared out.
