"Omg Ray has a six pack? Why am I blushing? Jeez I'm so embarrassed today. "Emma thought. Then Emma noticed his jet black hair it looked so soft and smooth.

"What are you starting at" Ray asked.
"Um- nothing"
"Whatever"
" So who should go first". Emma asked trying to change the conversation.
"You can If you want I really don't care"
"Ok then what do you want to be when you grow up". Emma asked Ray.
"Nothing"
"Why nothing?"
"Because I don't want to do nothing I don't want to be anything.". Ray said.  Emma stared at Ray and they made eye contact she looked at his grey eyes.  She got shivers when she looked closely to his eyes there will filled with loneliness, pain, regrets.  It was like he was winter.  It was cold.

"Can I ask you a question Ray"
"What is it"
"You know if something is bothering you, you can tell me. I know we just met and your probably thinking why should I tell someone I just met my pain or my problems but, I know your hurt, I know your in pain and you have regrets if you want to talk you can talk to me. It's not good to keep your thoughts bottled up cause one day it will come out at the wrong time". Ray looked at Emma and looked away.

"Nothings wrong with me I am not in pain I don't feel regrets and I am not lonely" Ray said.
"Liar". Emma got up and yelled.

"I'm telling the truth hurry up so we can finish the project idiot" Ray said. "I'm going to help you Ray. I swear. I'm going to help you find light, hope, and be happy no matter what. Because I have been through it too". Emma thought.

*knock, knock*

"Come in". Ray said.
"Hi Ray Diana told me to bring you guys some snacks" Jemima said.
"Thanks Jemima Tell Diana I said thank you". Jemima nodded and gave Ray a hug and a Ray hugged her back.

"Aww she is so sweet"
"She is But she doesn't deserve it" Ray said.
"She doesn't deserve to be here in foster care she deserves to be with her parents it's not fair all these kids deserve to be with their parents". Emma was shocked. " Of course these kids don't deserve this. No kid should ever go through this". Emma thought as she grabbed a carrot and started eating it.
"The carrot matches your hair" Ray mumbled.

"What was that Ray"
"Nothing get back to work". Emma nodded and they resumed back. Ray and Emma finished their project a 7:00pm.

"Finally I'm so sleepy Well I'm going home " Emma said.

"Let me walk you out ". Ray grabbed his sweater and put over his hoodie. As Emma and Ray walked down stairs all the little kids said goodbye to her
"Bye Emma". All the little kids said.

"Wait are you going to come back" one of the little kids said.
"Mayb-"
"No" Ray said.
"Aww why not Ray". The little kids said.
"Because-". Then Ray got interrupted by Yuggo who hit him on the head with his fist.
"Ow what the hell yuggo" Ray said rubbing his head were yuggo hit him.
"Don't say that In front of the kids of course you can come back Emma anytime you want"
"Thank you um-"
"It's yuggo"
"Well thank you Yuggo I will come back but I really should head home".
"By your self". Yuggo started at her.
"Yup"
"Aren't you scared you know like kidnappers, perverts" yuggo asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"Nope I do karate lessons every Friday so I'm not really that scared"
"Your so rude Ray what type of gentleman are you"
"None of your business old man"
"Go walk her home Emo kid"
"Fine let's go"
"Bye antenna". Yuggo said.  " Antenna". Emma thought.
"It's because the piece of your of hair is sticking  out". Ray said.
"Oh that makes sense"
"Damn why did I have to walk her or is it one of yuggo schemes he is doing. I'm not sure, but-". Ray thoughts ended by Emma's voice.
"We're here". Emma lived in an apartment but it looked like only for one person though.
"So were are your parents"
"Um- there out of town". Emma wanted to sound assured.
"Liar". Ray said.
"I'm not lying"
"Yes you are because you didn't sound assured" Ray said as he put his hands in his pockets.
"Whatever I'm leaving"
"Wait". Emma grabbed Rays wrist.
"What do you want"
" I will never, never give up on trying to be your friend". Emma said with no hesitation in her eyes. Ray just stared at her like if she was crazy.
"goodnight Ray" Emma waved and started walking to her apartment.
"That was close he almost found out". Emma thought.
Ray's POV:
"I will never, never give up on trying to be your friend". Emma said. "The hell is wrong with this girl? Why would she want to be friends with me? She doesn't even know me? But when she grabbed my arm she felt warm a comfort warm it remained me of my mother's" Ray thought". Then Ray snapped out of it when he heard Emma's voice "good night Ray".
"What an idiot". Ray mumbled.   Then Ray started walking home.  But someone in shadows were watching them.

Someone's POV:
"I'm going to kill that bastard for being close to my Emma.  She's mine and only mine.  Watch it Ray I'm coming for you". They mumbled. 

Ray's POV:
Ray just arrived at the foster care with Yuggo sitting on the couch.
"So did you guys kissed".  Yuggo smirked.
"No we didn't yuggo I'm not looking for relationship"
"Sure whatever you say lover boy"
"Shut the hell up yuggo". Ray said.  Yuggo just stayed silent. They both stayed silent.
"Sorry Yuggo I'm just tired"
"Yeah me too sorry go to sleep bud or your going to start having white hair"

"Yeah your right I don't want to end up like you".
"Shut up brat". Ray walked up to his room and laid down on his bed thinking about he orange hair girl.
"Why does she want to be friends with me?" Ray mumbled. He got up from his bed and went to get razor and went to the bathroom. And started cutting himself his left arm. The blood was streaming down his arm. After he was down he cleaned his cuts for they don't get infected he put a cloth on his arm then he used the bandage wrap and started wrapping around his arm.

"Idiot don't let her get close to you" He mumbles.
"She is just going to leave you and forget about you she is going to abandon you". Ray mumbles.
Once he was down he got to his bed and started sleeping.

The next morning:
Ray took a shower and then got his black sweater and his black backpack and started going down the stairs.
"Morning Ray". Diana said
"Morning".
"Here's your lunch have a good day at school Ray" Then Jemima came up to Ray and hugged him and he hugged her back.
"Morning Ray"
"Morning Jemima well I better get going I will see you later once I get off work". Jemima nodded.
"Can you read me a story later"
"Sure". Ray rubbed her head. Then as Ray opened the door the bell ringed and all the children knew that Ray was going to school every morning when Ray goes to school they all say good bye to Ray.
"Bye Ray". Everyone said. Ray just waved a goodbye at them.

After School...
"Jezz Emma couldn't stop poking me for the whole day. What's wrong with her". Ray thought.

Flash back in school...

Since Emma and Ray have 1st, 3rd and 5th period together.  Emma has been trying to talk with Ray by poking him and trying to get his attention. Then  eventually she gave up on trying to get Rays attention. Once Ray was on his last period he quickly left the school so Emma won't try to talk to him and plus he had to go to work.

End of flash back of school...

As Ray was heading his way to his job. Since he works in a he works at a music shop. Until Oliver stopped him in a ally way with his buds.
