Why can't I (RayxEmma)

  It was too late Emma started running towards to the park before don could say another word.

As Emma ran towards the park. She was panting for air. She felt tired after all that running and dealing with the three buff guys. She just wants to go home and get some rest. But she wanted to spend the day with Phil since she goes to work and goes to school she doesn't really have time to spend with him.  Ever since what happened that day.

Once she got there she saw Gilda and Phil going on the slide together. And Gilda and Phil immediately saw Emma.

"Emma are you okay? Did they hurt you?"
"I'm okay. Just "panting" need air." Emma says and she quickly sits down on the soft grass.
Gilda looked at Emma wondering why she helped her.

"Um Emma"
Emma looked at Gilda with full attention.
"Yes"
"Um I wanted to say thank you for helping me." Gilda bows her head.
"You don't need to bow it's fine. I wanted to help you"
"But why?"
"Because you need help. And I couldn't just let those guys take your money for helping charity"
"Thank you Emma."
"Yeah friends" Emma said putting her hand towards her.

"Friends". Gilda shakes Emma's hand in return.
"Can we be friends too" Phil asked Gilda.
"Yeah of course". Gilda flashes Phil a smile. Phil grabbed Gilda's hand and shakes it gently.
End of flash back....
"Emma, Emma". *slap*
"Ow what was that for Phil". Emma said rubbing her cheek.

"I kept on calling you for the past 15 minutes and you were looking at your Chinese food all weird"
"Oh" Emma continued eating her Chinese food. Phil looked at Emma for a few more seconds and he lowered his head down.

"Emma you know if something is bothering you, you can tell me". Phil raised his head up. Emma puts her fork down and she puts her hands on Phil's shoulders and gave them a gently squeeze.

"Yeah I know Phil i was just thinking about school that is all". Emma gave Phil a hug and she breaks the hug and gave him a big smile. But Phil could tell that Emma's smile was force for he doesn't have to worry about her.

"Ok". Emma was trying to think of something to try and brighten up the room. She knows that Phil loves eating sweets.
"Do you want some dessert I brought some pastry's from my work"
"Yeah can I have two"
"Yeah come on". Emma went to the kitchen to get the pastry's.

"I should save a pastry for Gilda, Ray.  Hopefully Ray likes sweets. And I should take a extra one just in case." Emma thought.

The next day after school...

Emma went to drop off Phil from school on the way there she saw Ray with two little girls one of them was around Phil's age and the other looked about 3 year older than Phil.

"Hey Phil lets go scare Ray". Emma gave him a big smile.

"Yeah". Phil said excitedly. Emma and Phil were starting to make their way behind Rays back to scare him. Once they made it behind him they both yelled boo. Ray quickly turned and accidentally hit Emma with his fist on the head.

"The hell Emma".
"Ow that hurts you know". Emma said rubbing her head.

"Sorry" Ray said and he quickly looked the other away.  His ears and face were turning into a dark red. But good thing he had his hoodie on for she won't have to see him like that.

"It's okay I'm sorry I'm the one who scared you" Emma said and she quickly looked away to hide her dark red face. With her hands. 

Phil, Sherry And Jemima  we're watching what the two of them were doing. 

"Are you guys dating?"  Sherry asked excitedly.

Ray lifts his fist and hits her head more gently this time.

"Why would I date this idiot" Ray said as he puts his hands in his pockets.

"Ow that hurts you know" Emma said rubbing her head again.

"Let's go sherry and Jemima or your going to be late for school." Ray said as he grabs there hands.  Has ray was about to walk Emma went and grab on his sweater with thinking.

  Ray turns around looking back at Emma as there eyes they make eye contact Emma stumbles backwards.  As she was waiting to hit the floor Ray puts his hand on her back and catches her before making her hit the floor. 

Phil, Sherry And Jemima we're watching the two.

"I think they like each other".  Sherry whispered to Phil and Jemima.

"I think so too Ray never acted this way to anyone before."  Jemima whispered to the both of them.

"Yeah I think so too". Phil whispered back to them.

As Ray let's go of Emma he turns his head to the three of them.

"Yo what are you three whispering about".

"Nothing" the three of them said.

"Tch well get inside already or your going to be late for school". Jemima went running towards ray and gave him a tight hug.  Sherry saw the two of them as it was better to give them some space so she went inside the school and will wait for Jemima.'

" See you later Ray". Jemima giggled. As she waved at Ray and quickly went inside the school.

"Bye Emma". Phil said and gave a quick hug and went to catch up to sherry.

"Tch kids". Ray mumbled.  Emma was staring at Ray's hand if she wanted to grab it or not.  Then she made up her mind she grab his hand and started walking the way over to there school.

" yo what are you doing you idiot"

"We're going to be late for school Emo kid"

" But why do you need to grab my hand"

" But I want to keep holding your hand" Ray thought.

"Oh yeah sorry". Emma said scratching her head and she quickly looked away because she didn't want him to see her blushing. And started looking down at the floor.

"Tch you don't have to be depressed about it". Ray said has he grabbed her hand and interlock it.

" Eh" 

"I thought he didn't want me to hold his hand". Emma thought.

"Hurry up slow poke or were actually going to be late".   
"Her hand feels so soft but yet so safe" Ray thought.

"His hand is big but safe yet comfortable" Emma thought.

"But why can't I tell tell her/him" they both thought.
