Why can't I (RayxEmma)

"But why can't I tell tell her/him" they both thought.

Once they made it to their school there were people looking at Ray and Emma seeing them holding hands.  Some of them whispering if their dating.   Then Norman took notice of the whispering so he decided to walk behind them and scare them.

"Boo". Norman yelled.

"Ah" Emma yelled.

"Yo what why you do that" Ray told Norman.

"Oh I just wanted to see my friend with his girlfriend. May I ask what's your name?"  Norman reaches out his hand for Emma could shake his.

"Were not dating we're just friends. ". Emma blushed. "My name is Emma by the way".  Emma shakes his hand in return.

"Ah your the other student who gets full scores on their test too right. But I also know that your the most athletic one in this whole school right."

"Yeah that's me" Emma giggles and blushed a little. Ray was watching the both of them and he didn't like how Norman we making her giggle. He felt a sting in his heart while watching the both of them.

Norman took a glance to see if Ray had a reaction.

He wanted to see if he could push him to the edge.

He wanted to make him jealous.

He wanted to confirm if Ray loves her.

"You know your very cute". Norman said leaning in closer to Emma's face. Emma's cheeks turn into a crimson color on her cheeks. Ray quickly pushed them away from each other and quickly grabbed Emma's hand walked away from Norman.

"I knew it so he does have feelings for." Norman smirked. "If he didn't have feelings for her he wouldn't have reacted that way" Norman thought and laughed and quickly walked back to Anna.

"So what happen?" Anna asked.

"I just wanted to confirm something?"

"You mean Ray liking Emma?"

"Yup" Norman popped the P. "You know me so well".

"I mean confirming stuff is what you do best" Anna laughed. Norman also laughed with her.

"I guess I am. Well we better get going then the bell is about to ring".

Back to Ray and Emma

While Emma was very confused of what just has happened.

"Ray" 

Ray kept on walking he didn't turn around to look at her. Until he found an empty hallway and he put his and against the wall next to Emma's face.

"Ray what's wrong". Emma asked in full of concern.

Ray didn't look at her. He was looking at the floor he didn't want to be selfish and say that he doesn't want her hanging around with guys.  When he looked at her he noticed that her eyes were full of concern, confused. 

"Emma"

"Yeah". She looks at him.

"I'm sorry"

"Eh.  For what you didn't do anything wrong"

"For not answering you and bring you here"

"No it's you don have to ap-apologize really". Emma said waving her hands against his face. 

Ray smirked and he grabbed her chin and brought it closer to his face.  He took notice of face her freckles and green forest eyes that you can get lost in for hours.  Emma didn't move she just felt frozen.  Frozen in time.  She was also analyzing Rays face his dark mysteries eyes and his small lips.   It made her blush of how close her face was to Rays.

"You know your really cute when you blush". Ray gave her his signature smirk.  He pulled back and started walking then stopped midway.  He noticed that Emma wasn't following him.

"Yo we should head to class antenna".

"He called me cute. My heart is beating so fast what is this feeling? Why do I feel so hot? Do I have a fever? No I don't think so but-" Emma stopped her train of thoughts when she felt someone grab her hand and begin walking.

" Your such an airhead antenna".   Ray mumbled. 

"Did you say something".

"I said your such and airhead antenna".

"WHAT not even" Emma gasped and uses her other hand and puts it on her chest.

"Huh. Yes even one day your probably going to get kidnapped from being such an airhead".

Emma pulls her hand back from the hand Ray was grabbing and his collier of his hoddie and puts her face closer to his.

"Say that I do get kidnapped but I know you are going to save me" Emma said with confidence. 

"And what if I don't ?"  Ray asked seriously.

"I know you aren't that type of person Ray"   Emma softly says.   Ray's eyes widened. He was surprised.  Because in the past when he was younger he remembered that people will confused of being a drug dealer and because he looked dangerous he really didn't make friends. 

The reason why he got bullied a lot .

He always wears a hoodie to hide his bruises and his cuts since his dad abused him and Ray was on the verge of commenting suicide. 

But the one thing that kept him going was his mother.  The reason to be alive was to protect her from him. 

And now he has another reason to live.   

The reason to live was Emma.

Ray pulls back from Emma and puts his hands on both of her shoulders and asked her a question.
