October 30th 1984

i woke up drenched sweat due to me relieving the past within my nightmares. I get up and get ready for school and i go downstairs to be met with an angry father who looks like he's going to burst any minute

"why the HELL did I have to call your name 3 times for you to get up!"

"sorry i overslept"

"is that attitude i hear"

"no sir"

"good because the next time i won't be so nice now get going"

I walk out the house with my keys in hand and enter my 1979 chevrolet red camaro and speed off to school with the song Rock you like a hurricane and once i reach a stoplight i decide to light one of my cigarettes. I know I know it's a bad habit but if my powers haven't killed me yet these aren't.I pull up to my usual parking space and turn down my music a little and then i hear the music get louder and i look over to my side and i see a car the same model as mine but blue pull up to the parking spot next to me. I decided to turn off my music and get out of my car and once I do I squish my cigarette with the bottom of my black Doc martens

I see a come out of a car next to mine she's wearing a white t-shirt with a leather jacket, a flannel tied to her waist and blue jeans the same as mine. I guess i know who I wanna fuck first.

Alex pov

I go to my locker which is next to jonathan's

"god Alex you smell like cigarettes have you been smoking again"

"Yeah"

"i thought you said you were going to stop"

"well i decided since my powers haven't killed me yet smoking isn't so i'm going to continue smoking"

"You're going to get lung cancer"

"We'll see about that"

Steve and Nancy then came over

"did you guys hear about the new kid"

"no and remind me why we should care steve"

"well because he's from california and we haven't had a new kid since well you"

"you are so pathetic"

i go back to putting my books in my locker and i hear

"damn would you look at it go"

i turn around to see a guy with a mullet dressed in blue jeans the same as mine along with a white t-shirt and a jean jacket. As he's walking past me he winks at me causing me to roll my eyes

[Nancy]"he seems like bad news"

"tell me about it"

RING

[Nancy]"i'm going to get to class before I get detention"

"same i gotta get to "clickty clackity's" class i swear she gives detentions for anything

I head off to history and once i get there i sit next to robin

"hey robin"

"hey Alex"

click clack click clack

"it is too early for her heels to be clacking"

"tell me about it"

The whole school day was kind of pointless everyone was talking about the new kid and what they're going to wear to tina's party tomorrow. After school i went home and once i opened the door the house reeked of alcohol

"i'm home"

"GET IN HERE"

just fucking great he's mad. I walk over to the other side of the living room and i can see my dad with an empty bottle of vodka in his hands and once i'm across from him he throws it at the wall next to my head causing a shard of class to scrape across my face which causes blood to drip down my cheek

"why are you late"

"there was traffic"

"bullshit you were probably out being a whore"

"but i-"

"no buts i don't wanna see your face get out."

I get into my car and start driving towards that cabin i found in the woods i see a tripwire and i walk over and i use my powers to unlock the door and i open the door to find
