You and the other two guys took a seat a little bit aways away from where Nobara and Itadori were. Megumi and Satoru were sitting down while you were leaning against the wall.
"I think I'll go, too," Megumi said from your right.
"Don't push yourself. You're still recovering," Satoru said to him.
"But someone needs to keep an eye on Itadori, right?"
"True. But the one we're testing this time is Nobara."
You let out a sigh."I don't think I like her very much," you said.
"Why's that?" Satoru asked, "Jealous you're no longer the only girl?" He gave you his signature coy grin, his head tilted up to look at you.
"Huh?" You growled, eyes sparking. "I don't give a shit about that. I just feel like we wouldn't get along." Satoru let out a 'oh well' sigh before leaning forward.
"... that Yuuji," he said after a while, "He's missing a few up here." Or a lot.
"He has no hesitation when it comes to killing these things that take the form of living creatures, albeit bizarre-looking ones, to try to kill him."
"I think that's a positive--though his recklessnes needs to be kept in check," you added.
"And it's not like he's been familiar with curses for a long time like you guys," Satoru added, "This is a boy who used to live a normal high school life. You've seen plenty of jujutsu sorcerers, even those with talent, give up in frustration because they couldn't conquer their fear or disgust, haven't you?" You just closed your eyes.
"So today I want to confirm how crazy she is."
"Nobara has experience though, doesn't she?" You asked, "It's a little late for something like that."
"Curses are born from human minds," Satoru replied, "So their strength and numbers grow in proportion to the population." Oh, I see now.
"Ah, okay," you said with a small smirk. "Nobara probably wouldn't be used to stronger curses nearer an urban area. Different level, I suppose."
"Exactly." Satoru smiled. "And by 'level, I don't just mean the amount of cursed energy they have. It's their cunning." Yeah, I know a certain curse like that. Oi, why do I feel like you're dissing me?
"Monster that have gained wisdom will often force cruel choices upon you... with the weight of human lives in the balace." ... Curses are not the only ones that do that... Oh? A memory popped up. IT'S NOT A VIDEO GAME, KURAGARI!
"Speaking of which, Y/n-senpai," Megumi spoke to you.
"Mm?" You hummed.
"You're the vessel for Kuragari Kanzaki, aren't you?"
"... and how did you figure that out?"
"It wasn't hard to piece together the clues. The second and third years talk about it more than their classes."
"I'm sure they heard all that shit from the higher ups," you replied, crossing your arms. "If it's not Sukuna they're talking about, it's me and Kuragari."
"... is it true you've been alive for more than 200 years?"
"You're heading into uncharted territories."
"... my apologies."
A silence settled between you three. The cursed energy from the building in front of you has yet to cease. Sooner than later, all three of you turned your eyes up to a curse bounding out from the building.
