Kuragari brought Hana to the doorstep of a downtown town home. The lights were out, as it was still late at night.
"How long's it been?" Kuragari asked.
"... years," Hana replied quietly. She raised her hand to knock, but hesitated. "... what if she hates me? I haven't... I just disappeared..."
"For fuck's sake." Kuragari flicked her fingers, and the door went slamming open into splinters.
"Oh shit..." Hana gasped. There was shuffling from upstairs, and Kuragari kicked Hana into the house before shutting the door. She walked from the porch and saw the living room light come on through the window. She could see a woman standing at the bottom of the staircase. Her mouth moved, but she couldn't hear her. Hana and the woman embraced frantically, grasping at each other to try and get closer than they physically could. At the top of the stairs, a tiny human stood. Kuragari left to return to you.
~
You walked down the highway, going straight. You got farther from the city and into a more rural area. I wonder if Kuragari's done with her task. A few miles down the road from you, you could feel the presence of a cursed spirit--special grade--and Itadori and Nobara. Well that's interesting... the special grade seems to be getting... closer. From in front of you, headlights shone in your eyes. Ah. The truck froze in front of you, its wheels frantically spinning. The driver seemed to become panicked. You walked around to the back of the truck. In the cargo area, a big, beefy dude was holding a civilian hostage."... huh?"
"Y/n-senpai!"
You looked down the road to see Itadori running towards you."He's going to kill him!"
"Oh." Taking the cube from your pocket, you held it between your fingers. You then flicked it. It took a moment for Eso to process it. A good-sized cube-shaped hole presented itself in the middle of his head. He dropped the civilian before falling off from the trunk. Itadori slid to a stop, eyes wide.
"Where's Nobara?" You asked.
"Further down the road," he replied. You dropped the truck and they sped off with several exclaims of panic.
"Explain everything to me."
~
"Why is it always you three getting into trouble?" You asked, facepalming. "Seriously--y'all need a supervisor." The three of you arrived back under the bridge."F-FUSHIGURO??"
Said boy was lying on the ground--either unconscious or asleep. He looked pretty worse for wear. Slowly, his eyes opened, and tilted his head up."Oh, you're back," he said. "I'm glad your safe... oh, Y/n-senpai."
"Don't you look terrible," you said. You then grinned before pulling out your phone. "The second years are gonna love this!"
"Not again..."
"I thought you were dead! Thank goodness!"Itadori and Nobara said at the same time. Megumi slowly sat up.
"Could you lower your voices?" He asked. "My head hurts."
"Wonder why," you replied flatly.
"Don't go to sleep with Sukuna's finger in your hand. That's dangerous," Nobara said. Megumi turned his head to look at her.
"How do you know about the finger?" He asked.
"Well, we can all sense it, if that answers your question."
"Just contact Nitta-san for now," Megumi advised. "We need to get it sealed at once. Cursed spirits are approaching."
"I don't think that'd be a problem," you said, stretching out your back.
"Should I eat it?"
"We don't have a clear idea of how many fingers you can handle," Megumi said. (Wow, this sounds wild out of context.) "So don't eat it." He held the finger out to him.
"But I will hand it over to you, since you have the most energy. I'll say this again though. Don't eat it."
"Wow, am I a roach to y'all or something?"
Itadori walked up to Megumi, reaching out to grab it."Uh, I don't think that's a good--"
Sukuna's mouth appeared on his palm, quickly chewing and swallowing it. You all paused. The marks appeared on his body before he began flailing around."We just said not to eat it!" You all yelled at him.
"Huh? Me?!" Itadori looked at his palm. "This guy seriously... he hardly did any work this time either! Is Gojo-sensei just winging it?"
"Probably," you sighed. "That's how he is."
"Hey! You three!" A voice yelled from above you. A woman was leaning over the bridge. "What have you three been doing?!"
"Who's that?" You asked.
"That's Nitta-san," Megumi replied.
"You wouldn't answer my calls!"
"Well she seems lively."
Itadori helped Megumi up."Let's go home," you said, ignoring Nitta's yells.
"I'm hungry," Nobara sighed. "I wonder if there's a Splendid Sushi around here."
"Splendid Sushi's bullet train was awesome, wasn't it?"
"Shut up."
~
You let out a sigh of relief as you fell back onto your bed."Geez... it's been so lively lately."
"Hey."
You looked forward and saw Kuragari standing at the edge of your bed. There was an unusual frown on her face."You're back finally," you said. "What took you so long?"
"I took Hana home," she replied. "She had a wife and kid."
"Oh," you said. "How did the wife react?"
"Relieved, from what I could see. I didn't sense anger."
"... what aren't you telling me?" You asked quietly. "I know you didn't cause a ruckus--but I know you weren't just hanging around."
"I wasn't," she replied. "I visited a place."
"What place?" You asked.
"The L/n Memorial Cemetery. Or what's left of it."
You scowled."Any changes?"
"Not since you last rampaged through it."
"Shut up, it was for a good reason." You closed your eyes. "Why'd you go there anyway? I didn't take you for the sentimental type."
"I'm not," she replied. Her mind drifted back to the scene in the townhome. "Something just came across my mind."
"Huh?"
"Don't worry about it."
You peeked through an eye at her before shrugging."Ah, fine. I just wanna sleep." You rolled over to your side. Kuragari stared at you for a moment before returning back to her domain.
