It has been one dreadful year and Draco and V haven't spoken since their argument.

Dumbledore was dead, Snape took over the school, and Death Eaters ran it. The castle was dark, no joy in it left, many kids didn't go back to the school but V did, she needed to fight for her school and she chose to stay.

Her friends begged her to stay with them in the Room of Requirements, but she refused, she would try to get as much information possible and pass it to them, hoping to help in any way.

V was saddened, could barely pay attention in class and would barely eat, she would get tortured for questions and beaten for hatred, and Draco was terrible.

He would always have dark bags under his eyes and almost never went to his classes. He would sometimes pass V in the hallway, he would quickly glance at her and then look back down.

Draco would try to avoid seeing her so she wouldn't get hurt, more than she already was, but he was only kidding himself as he knew he still loved her. Seeing her face beaten only pained him even more.

She would sometimes look at him but rarely, they wouldn't smile like they used to before. They both knew they still loved each other, after all that time. But it would pain them even more if they were to get back together.

One cloudy gloomy night, V was in her room getting her school robes off and putting on something comfortable.

She was sore as ever as she got dressed, bruises covered her thin body and she felt weak, but always pushed it aside.

She had on jeans with black high top shoes and a grey tank top. Rummaging through her trunk for a covering, she pulled out the dark green flannel that Draco was wearing on their rainy night at the library.

He had lend it for her to wear for she was only wearing a shirt and it was freezing that night, not to mention she was wet from the rain. She got saddened from the memory as tears threatened to spill out, but suddenly she heard a very loud noise coming outside of the castle and saw a very bright beam in the sky.

She then heard the lots of girls in her dormitory running out of their room and into the common room.

V quickly put on the dark green flannel and went out with them. The common room was in chaos.

Boys and girls were running around trying to figure out what was going on and most were leaving the chambers to go to the castle's entrance. V went down the stairs and went up to Luna.

"What's happened?" she asked.

"I dunno, I heard mumbles of You-Know-Who's attacking" she said in her sweet dreamingly voice, but she looked worried.

Together they ran out of the room, with their wands in hand. The halls were packed with students and professors. They were all heading to the castle's entrance to find the meaning of the disturbance.

Just outside the Hogwarts grounds was Voldemort himself with his army alongside him, waiting for a war.

As the Death Eaters piled into the castle, students fired their spells and curses at them with their wands. The whole school was chaotic.

V was running down halls trying to help anyone in need and kill any enemy in sight.

Draco was running through the hallways as well, but he wasn't so sure to which side he was on. He knew he was marked as a deatheater, but he liked his school, he couldn't imagine it in ruins.

As he turned a corner, he saw V fighting with a Death Eater. A wave of pain hit him as he saw her after a long time.

She had punched the Death Eater across the jaw and then yelled a spell at him, but he got back up and cursed his wand at her, making her hit a wall and fall to the hard ground, which gave her a gash on her forehead.

Draco yelled a curse at the darkeater, sending a wave of pain at him and started to run up to V.

She looked at him but ran back down the next hallway, still not knowing if she could trust him.

(Time skip)

After a long night's fight, V went into the dining hall and noticed many dead bodies laying on cots on the floor.

Friends and loved ones were crying and hugging in worry and dismay. Many were very injured.

V had dirt on her face and a bleeding gash on her forehead and had a big scratch on her forearm and cheek, apart from previous beatings from her "teachers".

She was cleaning her small injuries when everyone started going outside to the castle's courtyard. She went along with them, wand in hand just in case.

The sun was not  seen as clouds surrounded the sky and smoke surrounded the castle, ash flowing in the air.

Voldemort was standing a couple yards from them, with dead Harry Potter in Hagrid's arms.
