Chapter Eight - Harry's POV

Sorry for the late update! I kept procrastinating plz don't hate me ;-;

This chapter is slightly different than what happens in the movies/books :3

I could hear Hermione whisper-shouting at me to come down. Quickly, I put my quill and the diary back into the drawer before running as quietly as I could down the stairs.

"What took you so long?" Hermione inquired, annoyance leaking through her voice.

"I was just making sure the invisibility cloak was well-hidden," I replied smoothly. I had come up with this excuse when I was in the dorm in order to prevent any shred of doubt.

"Well, let's get going!" We snuck out with Ron and Professor Lockhart in tow.

Allow me to explain what's going on: Lockhart was supposed to rescue Ginny, but he's a baby, so we have to do it instead. We stopped by the common room so I could "put the invisibility cloak away." In reality, I was saying goodbye to Tom.

Eventually, we reached Myrtle's bathroom. We searched the every stall and every sink before we found the correct spot. It was a sink with snake-like figure sculpted into it.

"Try speaking in Parseltongue," Ron suggested.

I did as he said and what do you know- It opened. It opened to what appeared to be a slide leading down into the unknown.

"You go first," I said to Lockhart. "Well wait just-" Hermione poked the professor in the back with her wand, causing him to fall down the slide.

We waited until we got a signal from the man before following.

I'll cut to the chase: Lockhart ended up taking Ron's wand and somehow erased his own memory, and part of the tunnel we were in collapsed, separating me from the group. I ended up reaching the chamber alone.

I had expected there to be issues. I had also expected having to go into the chamber alone. What I didn't expect was to see Tom waiting for me with Ginny laying on the floor in from of him.

AGAHAHAHAHA HERES A CLIFF-HANGER CUZ IM EVIL
