ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ 10

Dazai's POV:

I hadn't moved from where I was. Chuuya had gone and locked himself in his room and I was left to think about what had happened.
I sat down on the ground and stared at the floor. Why did I do that? That was really random, he probably hates me now.

I decided that I should go knock on his door and apologise, but before I could my phone started ringing.
It was Atsushi so i picked up straight away.

"Hey Atsushi."
I said whenever I picked up.

"Hi Dazai!"
He replied.
"Do you wanna come to the park with me and Aku today?"

"Uh sure. When?"
I asked.

"Well we're here now so just whenever."

"Oh okay right, see you soon."
I hung up and then set my phone down. I went over to Chuuya's bedroom door and stood outside for a while until I had the courage to knock.
Finally I knocked.

"Hey Chuuya."
I didn't get a reply. This was probably going to be a very one sided conversation.
"Listen; I'm really sorry for what I did earlier."
I sighed then sat down against the door.
"I don't know why I did that. It was an awful thing to do I'm sorry. I should've asked first."

"Eh.. you don't need to apologise I was just surprised."
I heard him reply. And there was me thinking he had died or something.
"But can we just forget that ever happened?"
I knew he was going to want to forget it. But why was I still disappointed?

"Uhuh. Yeah alright."
Another moment of silence.
"Hey wanna go to the park with me Atsushi and Akutagawa today?"

"Oh. Yeah sure."

"Uh can I use your shower?"
I asked. Of course I wasn't going to go out without getting a shower; did you really think I would do that?

"Yeah of course"

"Alright cool."
I sat at the door for another while before standing up and going to get a shower.
I had made sure to bring a bag of clothes with me to Chuuya's house because I didn't know how long I was going to be staying. Of course I didn't know if Chuuya was going to let me stay either but he did so it's fine.

-Timeskip-

"Hey Dazai!"
Atsushi waved at me from under a tree at the edge of the park beside the lake. Akutagawa was standing beside him looking of into the distance having another one of his emo moments.
"Oh hi to you too Chuuya!"

The short ginger gave him a small wave, I'm glad they're getting along. The sun was shining right in my eyes so I blocked it with my hand, sure it might have made it hard to see but at least I wouldn't be blinded.
When I got to the tree I sat down with my back to the tree and put my arms behind my head.
Atsushi sat beside me and Chuuya and Aku just stayed standing.

"Hey you know you guys aren't being forced to stand up? You can sit down."
I said looking over at the two.

"Why would I want to sit beside you, dumbass."
An expected response from Chuuya. Akutagawa just sat down on the grass where he was standing.

"I never said you had to sit beside me!"
I replied, sounding annoyed. Chuuya turned around to look at me, and even though he was angry, I noticed how beautiful he looked in the sun. With his bright ginger hair blowing in the slight breeze and the lake water reflected in his eyes--

"Can you guys please not fight?"
Atsushi interrupted my thoughts with a nervous smile on his face.

"Fine, but if there is a fight it wont be my fault."
He sat beside me, even though he said he wouldn't, and folded his arms. I smiled.
As much as I wanted to hug him I knew he wouldn't like it.

"Hey guys, how about we go get ice cream?"
Atsushi asked us. It was pretty warm so ice cream would be good right now.

"Sure."
Atsushi and I stood up but the others didn't.
"We're gonna go without you guys you know."

"I'm glad."
Chuuya said. Akutagawa decided that he would come with us so we all headed to the nearby ice cream van; Atsushi said he would pay.
We walked along the bright green grass, just looking at it made me want to lie down and go to sleep. It looked so soft.
We walked in silence which, I'll admit, was a bit awkward.

"Hey uh, Dazai."
Of course Atsushi was the one to break the silence.

"Yeah?"
I was feeling too tired to have a conversation now, thanks a lot nice grass.

"If you don't mind me asking, did something happen between you and Chuuya? It's just; he's acting a lot more... annoyed?"
I stopped walking and tilted my head as if I was confused.

"No? Not that I think so atleast. He's always like that."
I replied. Of course that was a lie. But Atsushi is so good at realising such small things it's kind of annoying.

"Oh okay."
We reached the ice cream van and got what we wanted, I also said that we should get one for Chuuya because he probably did actually want one.
We walked back to the tree and I gave Chuuya his ice cream.

"Uh. I never said I wanted any?"
He said looking annoyed.

"Yeah, but I got you one anyway."
I sat back down in my spot beside Chuuya at the tree and stretched.

"Well thanks... how did you know this was my favourite?"
He said while looking away from me. I didn't know that strawberry was his favourite it was just a lucky guess.

"You seem like someone who likes strawberry?"
I said and Chuuya just nodded.

"Hey I have something to tell you guys!"
Atsushi ran over to us with Aku following close behind.

"Hm? What is it?"
To be honest I didn't completely care about whatever he had to say, but I would listen anyway. I'm such a good friend.

"Well, me and Aku.."
Atsushi grabbed Akutagawa's hand, who scowled and looked away.
"..we're dating!"
