"Bad! Come here!" Skeppy said excitedly, waving him over. Bad set down his water and walked over to the carnival game his excited friend had run to.
"What is it?"
"Think I can beat this? I just have to knock all the cans over with a ball."
"Sure you can, Skeppy." Bad giggled. This was more than enough confirmation for him- he paid for a turn. Once the attendant handed him a ball, he stepped back, lining himself up and swinging his arm back. He squinted, contorting his face in concentration. Bad stepped back to avoid his arm and the ball.
He suddenly threw it and it landed, slamming into the small pyramid of cans. They all crashed to the ground loudly, and Skeppy cheered.
"I did it, Bad! I did it!"
"You did!" Bad laughed, high fiving him. The attendant grinned and pointed at the rack.
"Which prize?" Skeppy peered up, looking around for a second before smiling widely.
"The stuffed duck, please." He said. The attendant reached up, unhooked it, and handed it over. Skeppy took it, turned on his heel, and held it out to Bad, smiling with a shy pout.
"Skeppy!" Bad said, gently taking it and clutching it to his chest.
"What is it?" Terique appeared with the camera.
"Skeppy got me a duckie!" He waved it at the camera.
"Let me get a photo of you two," The skinny man laughed, pulling the camera to his eye. Skeppy draped an arm around Bad's shoulders as the brunette held the duck out, grinning widely.
"What are we naming him?" Skeppy asked as Terique rushed off to get photos of Karl and Quackity, who had abandoned spraying the targets at their carnival game with their water guns and were spraying each other.
"Er- Gilbert?" Bad looked at the light blue duck.
"What about- Dilbert? Dilbert the duck?" Skeppy suggested, patting the stuffed animal. Bad clapped in excitement.
"Yes! Dilbert!"
"What do you want to do now?" Skeppy looked around.
"What about... we can try some snacks from the vendors." Bad said, nodding his head towards the rows of carts.
"Alright," Skeppy laughed.
The pair made their way over, where they each got a frozen snickers bar and nearly were headed off when Bad noticed a sour ice cream bar and bought it on impulse.
"Come on, you have to try it with me." He said as they walked towards the benches. They took a seat at a picnic table and tore open their ice cream packages. Skeppy took a thoughtful bite of his candy before shaking his head.
"I don't do sour things, Bad, you know that."
"Don't be such a muffin! Come on, it'll be great!"
"What's great about sour ice cream? That like- negates the whole ice cream part."
"Sure, but you never know. Please?" Bad pleaded. Skeppy looked up at him, making deep, warm eye contact with his dark brown irises before sighing.
"Bad-"
"You can get a bite of my snickers bar."
"Just one bite and I'm done."
"Okay!" Bad said, excited. He ripped the package open and took a tentative nibble off the corner. He didn't taste anything at first, but then felt his whole jaw contract as it took effect. He thrust it towards Skeppy, shaking his head.
