"I want to fight for equality here. All of us are different, barely the same, yet we all wish to fight for the greater good- so we must claim our own right to democracy. We are not uncivilized people! We are soldiers and veterans of life! We can take on any obstacle and stare down the throat of the wildest beasts, but we cannot look our own people in the eyes with respect, with enough respect for equal chance? So now, I declare, the equality of each of us begins. Everyone is entitled to their say, and the majority wins. This brings me to the big result of the vote- chinese!"
"DAMN IT!" Quackity slammed his hands on the table.
"Language!" Bad said, choking on his laughter. Wilbur, who had been standing on the table and speaking to the group, hopped down with a grin.
"Chinese food it is- I told you noone wanted mexican food after game night. It's not normal." He said, clapping both Quackity and Skeppy on the back. They both looked extremely aggravated. Sapnap, however, was ecstatic.
"Hell yeah!" He high-fived Dream, who was cheering next to him.
"Chinese food sounds awesome." Dream sighed, pulling out his phone. "I just hope it gets here before we have to go and get Emily and-" Dream froze. Sapnap laughed.
"Drista. Drista. Get used to saying it."
"I know. Emily and Drista."
"Yeah. For now, I'm gonna go hop in the pool. What about you? Wanna go?" He turned to his friend, who was looking at him. The blonde nodded and the two set off for the stairs.
Sapnap took his shorts to the bathroom while Dream took the room, and as soon as he was changed he ran out and down the hallway. With a quick knock on the bedroom door to rush Dream he spun and leapt down the stairs three at a time. He had suddenly got excited for the pool and secretly knew that it was because he needed a way to distract himself.
He shot past Jimmy and Wilbur, who were on the phone with what Sapnap could assume was a restaurant, before wheeling around, running back, slapping both of them hard on the back of the neck and then hurrying away again.
He didn't stop until he was at the base of the stairs, and from there he pulled his shirt over his head and leapt into the water. It engulfed him, bringing him into it's cool depths before letting him rise to the surface.
He was treading water when Wilbur and Jimmy appeared at the base of the stairs, scowling. Jimmy opened his mouth to speak when Dream, in the process of taking his shirt off, leapt down the stairs and past them, slapping them on the back of their necks and then diving into the water.
"Really!" Wilbur snapped, although he was smiling.
"Sorry, can't help it." Sapnap shrugged, giggling.
"Wilbur! I can't keep on this call forever!" Tubbo's voice called from upstairs. With one last middle finger the two went back up and left Sapnap and Dream alone in the pool.
Sapnap turned around and was met with a splash of water as Dream flung it at him. He closed his eyes, shielding himself, and laughed.
"So you want to play, huh?" The next thirty minutes was spent throwing water, chasing each other and wrestling in the depths of the water, struggling to come out on top, before both of them, exhausted and breathing heavily, gave up and clung to the sides of the pool.
"So- are you ready?" Dream asked as Sapnap folding his arms across the concrete and set his head down.
"You want to go again? Jeez, dude, I don't have that much energy-"
"No, I mean, are you ready for tonight?"
"Oh. You're talking about tonight."
"Yeah."
