Peach's PoV:

"Peach... I don't understand what you're talking about" Rose said, her voice wavering slightly.

"Rose- ROSE I'M ADOPTED!" I sob, sliding down the wall so I'm sat on the floor.

"What?" She exclaims. "But, how?"

"I don't know" I admit, "but it's impossible for Orange to be my real father. There, the biology says it all."

"Well..." Rose murmurs, "that's good, right? It means you didn't just watch your real father get thrown off the balcony, so it's okay?"

Now, it's my turn to yell, 'What?!'
"YOU THINK THIS IS A GOOD THING? YOU THINK IT MAKES IT HURT LESS?! IT HURTS MORE KNOWING THAT MY WHOLE LIFE WAS A LIE!"

"But I-" she murmurs, however I'm not in the mood to hear it.

"SHUT UP!" I snap, beginning to break up in tears again. She seems shocked, offended and guilty all at the same time.
"Just leave me alone" I whisper, already regretting my outburst.

Rose slowly walks to the door, her head hung low. "I just... I'm sorry, Peach."

She was just about to walk out of medbay. Just about to turn the corner.

I could tell her to wait. I could apologise. I should make it up to her, it's not her fault.

But she left before I could say anything.

Racing out into the hallway, I spot her travelling in the direction of the cafeteria. My footsteps pound against the floor as I chase her.

"R-Rose!" I call, and she turns around. "Rose I didn't mean it"

"It's okay" she murmurs. "You're right, I wasn't thinking"

"No" I shake my head. "You were right. I agree with you. On the idea that we need justice"
She meets me with a confused silence.  "Finishing tasks won't cut it," I explain, "you were right that we should watch this murderer suffer. They're the reason the crew accused my father."

"Okay" She smiles. "So what do we know?"

"It's not Lime" I conclude.

"Yeah, I figured..." she agrees. "That's the only thing we do know"

"Well" I exclaim, "LETS GO! We can get evidence, we can spy! I'm like a ninja!"

"But you're not being very quiet right now!" Rose laughs. Huh. Seems like she's getting the hang of humour.

"Activate ninja mode" I whisper, making Rose burst out in a fit of giggles.

Lime's PoV:

Rose was correct, I did need Emerald's help - he was better at tasks than I was. Hang on a sec, everyone is better than me, so that's a large understatement.

He was amazing at tasks, especially for an 8 year old.

"So..." I say, trying to understand the concept of download. "You connect... it to this? Here?"

"No!" Emerald giggles. Omg his laugh is adorable. This is why I'd always wanted my own child. "Not there"

And for about the hundredth time, he shows me where you plug the tablet into the computer. Yeah, simple tasks really, but I still haven't managed to do it.
