Y/N's POV
"Morning ladies," Dean smiled from the stove as Daisy and I softly padded into the kitchen, hand in hand. I had already gotten Daisy dressed in her school outfit: sneakers, a pair of black leggings, and the 'AC/DC' shirt Dean picked out for her when we took her back-to-school shopping.
"Morning Dean," Daisy smiled happily as Dean kissed her forehead, setting the plate of pancakes down in front of her before handing me the syrup. "De, can you braid my hair for school? My teacher said you did a good job last time," she asked, giving Dean her her best puppy-dog eyes as she shoveled a mouthful of pancakes into her mouth.
"Of course, Sweetheart," he smiled, quickly twisting Daisy's hair into a perfect braid. When he finished, I handed Dean the elastic to tie around the end, giving his cheek a quick peck as he mouthed a 'thank you'.
"You better go get your shoes and coat on Daisy, it's almost time to leave for school," I smiled softly, and she immediately jumped up from her seat, giggling as she bolted down the hallway to her bedroom.
Dean chuckled as he walked to the counter, filling two travel mugs with coffee for us to take along to school. "How long is this thing going on today? Sammy asked if I'll have time to help him digitize some more lore books for the website."
Sam and Dean stopped hunting three and a half years ago. And as difficult as this transition was for them, both handled it easily, and both are loving the new life we have. Sam and Charlie made an entire social network just for hunters, with chatrooms to ask for help on cases, computer programs that scanned news articles for cases and suggested them to hunters in the area, and digital copies and scans of lore books and materials that could potentially help hunters everywhere. And best of all, Sam was able to conduct online training and quizzes for hunters who were just starting out, or needed refreshing on how best to kill certain monsters. It really was something to be proud of.
Dean was helping Sammy as much as possible with the website, but computers weren't exactly his forte, so Dean also started to do mechanic work from the bunker garage. It started as just fixing some things for the occasional hunter who showed up in an old beater car that Dean would help fix up, but people around town started asking for help and eventually, Dean was managing his own shop as well as helping Sam and the other hunters.
"The book fair ends after the kids' lunch period, but if Sam needs your help, you don't have to stay the whole time. Besides, I know Sam really wants to get stuff done so he doesn't have to worry about anything over the weekend."
"Oh yeah, Daisy's field trip is this weekend. Are you sure Sammy can handle it? I mean it wouldn't hurt for one of us to tag along too-"
"We can't tag along De, we have our weekend spa getaway that Jody and the girls got us," I frowned when Dean opened his mouth to argue again. "No buts, Winchester. Jody already threatened to drive down to Kansas and bring us there herself if we rescheduled again."
Dean smiled, tucking me under his arm as we walked down the hallway to get Daisy out to the car. "Think we're the first hunters to ever go on a weekend spa getaway?" he joked.
I shook my head, giggling. "Hell no, Bobby used to go at least once a year. He used to get coupons in the mail for a spa retreat in Nevada."
