Title: Get Home Safe

Pairing: Dean x Reader

Word Count: 3284

It's Daisy's third birthday, but Dean and Uncle Sammy aren't back from their hunting trip yet. When they return, Dean in far worse shape than expected, the reader asks Dean something she swore she never would.

"Mommy! Mommy! Look, it's Auntie Charlie!" Daisy yelled as she watched Charlie's car pull into the bunker garage. She instantly ran towards the car, her little yellow birthday dress flowing freely behind her as she held the birthday tiara tightly to her head.

"Well hello my beautiful birthday girl!" Charlie laughs as she scoops Daisy up in her arms, giving her a big hug. "You're getting so big, how old are you now, 20?"

Daisy giggled as Charlie set her back down on the ground. "No, silly. I'm only 3," she holds up three fingers, proudly presenting them to Charlie and I.

"Honey, why don't you go inside by Grammy Rowena while mommy helps Auntie Charlie bring her things inside," I turn Daisy towards the door, where an annoyed-looking Rowena is standing with her arms crossed over her chest.

"I may be 300 years old, but I would prefer to be Auntie Rowena," she scowled as she grabbed Daisy's hand, leading her into the bunker. "Come, Dearie, would you like to play with Auntie Rowena's crystals?..."

As soon as Daisy is out of earshot, I return my focus to Charlie, a worried look on my face. "Please tell me you've heard something," I beg.

Charlie grabs her laptop out of the front seat, shaking her head softly. "Both of their phone's are offline, I can't trace them any further than the motel they booked. Cas got there an hour ago, and Garth has some guys out looking but there's no signs of them or the impala anywhere. I'm sorry sweetie," she rubbed my arm comfortingly.

I sighed softly, my heart pounding in my chest as I leaned my head against Charlie's shoulder. Sam and Dean had left for a hunt 6 days ago, but I hadn't heard from them in two days. They were hunting a coven of witches, and during the last call Dean and I shared he said the job was finished, that they were heading home. But they weren't back yet, and two days of silence wasn't like him.

"I'm so lucky that Jody and Donna brought the girls to see us," I whispered as Charlie and I grabbed her bags and carried them towards the house. "They've kept her so busy she hasn't really been asking for them, but bedtime was like Hell last night."

"As someone who's never been to Hell, I'll take your word for it," Charlie laughed softly as we placed her bags in her room next to mine. "Look, sweetie," she turned me to face her, holding my shoulders still as she looked at me with a serious look on her face. "They're going to be okay. They're the Winchesters. We have half the hunting community looking for them, I promise it will be okay."

I nodded softly, letting the tears slip down my cheeks as she pulled me into her arms and engulfed me tightly. "I'm just so scared," I whispered against her shoulder. "I don't know what to tell Daisy, sh-she keeps asking why Dean didn't call her to wish her a happy birthday yet and I just- I don't know what to do," I cried against her shoulder for a few moments more, trying to compose myself before we returned out by Daisy.

"We've all got you back, hun," she smiled softly as we walked down the hallway towards the library. "We'll get through this."

...

"Happy Birthday dear Daisy, Happy birthday to you!" Daisy giggled happily, clapping happily as we all urged her to blow out the candles on her birthday pie.
