"Why can't I tell him what's going on?" Gracie demanded, her calm demeanor breaking with each passing moment. She had just about bit off her entire fingernail from her anxiety.

"Wait..." Dr. Min's low voice drifted through the phone line. Gracie grumbled under her breath.

"You tell him too soon it will cause a fracture."

"But he's not like——"

"Don't you dare." Hissed Dr. Min, followed by the busy tone. Either he hung up on her or he switched to a different call. The latter seemed more feasible. Gracie sighed in frustration, adjusting her scrubs for an eight hour shift at the hospital.

The quiet stillness of the patients resting put her at ease. Gracie loved the night shift. On her long nights working her twin sister would come with a cheeseburger from her favorite place.

She hasn't been around much since she met her boyfriend on one of the shifts she came to visit. You could say he was quite smitten by her.

Sure we both looked alike and in the months that passed Gracie had spoken with him frequently. The way he would talk about his comatose friend it was as if she already knew him.

That night Gracie found herself sitting next to Jin while
he navigated his comatose world. She would tell him about all the places she had been to recently. About the art gallery her sister opened and how she bought one of her pieces to hang in her small living room.

Never once did she think that what she was saying could affect him in any way. However the thing that bothered her most— he thought the person who told him all those things was Penelope.

Did Gracie talk about her sister more? Why won't Yoongi's let her tell Jin anything. Why did it matter?

It's not like someone as handsome as Jin would be interested in someone like her.

"Excuse me?" Someone clears their throat behind her. Gracie turned to find Namjoon standing a few feet back.

"Oh—Uh hi Joon."

"Has Penelope been by? She's not at her house."

Gracie shook her head. Penelope stopped coming to see her. Namjoon knew that. He was the reason behind the occurrence.

"—sorry." He rubbed the back or his neck with a sheepish look.

"What are you doing here? Aside from looking for my wayward sister." Gracie came off a bit colder than intended.

Namjoon's eyes wandered down the hall, coming to a stop on the door to the room his friend spent so much time in. A room where when Jin woke up to his world upside down.

"Why would Jin think Penelope is his wife and that I'm supposed to be married to some other girl?"

"He doesn't think that of her. He wants Y/N—"

"Who is that and why does he think she's Penelope."

Gracie looked up into his honey brown eyes filled to the brim with a nervous anxiety. While hers resembled that of guilt and sorrows.

"I have to go." Glancing down at her pager. She ran as fast as her short thick legs could manage. Namjoon watched the girl vanish into a nearby room. Only to find that room to be a storage closet when he made his way down the hall to the elevators in the North wing.

Namjoon could hear Gracie crying softly behind the door. He went to knock, but held his fist an inch away. Then continued down the hall. He would have to confront her another time. Namjoon needed to find out more about this Dr. Min.

Jin sat up looking at the blue walls with all the waterfall paintings. A smile spread across his tired face. This room was so peaceful. Everything within it screamed peace and tranquility. However deep down in the pit of his stomach. A bitter turmoil was beginning to rise.

"Ready to get started?" Dr. Min's voice drifted through the room. Jin's smile faded when he lazily rolled his head towards the doctor.

"If I must..."

"You want answers, Don't you?"

Jin thought about it. Maybe he could just let the life he had dreamt up go. Be without dreams for the rest of his life. That's pretty normal, besides it wasn't like everyone remembered their dreams anyway. So why did it matter? A twinge in his heart told him why. Y/N was his everything. He had to figure this out.

"Okay." He whispered. Dr. Min perked up, sauntering over to the bedside with a grin.

"Welp, come on lazy bones. Let's get started."

After Jin got up, he used the restroom then they made their way down the overly pristine hallway. How the hell do they keep it so clean? Jin didn't even see a speck of dust on the white walls.

You ever see those weird sci-fi movies where the main character gets abducted and they wake up in a room then find themselves in a hallway such as this one. Jin wasn't sure how he felt about it.

"Relax." Dr. Min patted Jin on the shoulder.

"I'm fine." He muttered aloud when on the inside he was screaming save me. Although he could just be being melodramatic.

Dr. Min glanced at Jin as they stood outside a tall black door with a blue handle. When he pushed down the handle a twinkling noise sounded, followed by every light in the hallway to go out.

"What the hell—-"

"Shhh, someone has entered the dream scope."

Jin blinked furiously, trying to bring some sort of image to his eyes. But much like his sleep all he saw was pitch black darkness.

"Dream scope?"

"Yes... be very quiet."

"Why'd all the power go out?" Jin questioned Dr. Min. He felt a firm hand on his back guiding him forward. What the hell was going on?

"It's necessary for the process. If too much light gets in during their travels in the sub conscience, we may have blurred results.

"Huh? Kinda like, blinded by the light?"

"Shhhh..."

The sound of another door opening reached Jin's ears. A subtle warmth washed over him as he was pushed through the opening. The air in this room was stuffy and maybe a bit too warm.

A light flickered on in the corner. Jin's eyes adjusted to the small emitting light. All around the room, shelves were filled with files and text books. A lone desk adjacent to the floor lamp had a dinosaur aged computer on it that hummed to life at the touch of a key.

Dr. Min hunched over in front of it, typing away. The lighting gave him an eerie shadow casted across his face.

"What kind of—-"

"Ah for the love of soju would you pipe down for a moment?!" Dr. Min hissed. Only to stand quickly upright. He whirled around to face Jin with a stern look.

"I work better with silence during testing. Please stay quiet for a time longer and I will explain everything.

Jin huffed out an exasperated breath. Plopping down in a chair beside the lamp. This room was starting to make him claustrophobic.

Why does Yoongi seem so Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde all of a sudden.

"Perfect." Whispered the doctor.

"Huh?"
