A month had passed by since Penelope had gone to jail. They had a hearing for her to determine her bail and when her actual trial would be. Although given the recording from that night and the diary they collected from her room. They had a substantial amount of evidence to keep her behind bars indefinitely.
Jin found himself frequently visiting a place where he had spent the past couple years of his life. However it wasn't to be seen by a doctor. He went there to have lunch with his girlfriend.
A lot of the memories from his coma had faded into the new ones he creates now with Gracie. She meant everything to him.
"Where would you like to go?" Jin asked, taking her hand in his. Gracie smiled while tapping her chin with her free hand.
"Want to go to the fair downtown?"
"Do you have time?"
"They gave me the rest of the day off."
"Perfect." Jin smiled happily.
"I'm going to run and change. Be right back." She squeezed his hand before going into one of the locker rooms.
Jin turned to lean against the wall, patiently waiting for Gracie to return. Yoongi walked up to him, his tired eyes with dark circles beneath them a sign he hadn't slept.
"You okay?"
Yoongi grunted leaning against the wall, his eyes closed, head tilted toward the ceiling.
"Long night?"
"We're supposed to go see Penelope tomorrow. My brain won't shut off. I have to figure out what she did or said to him."
He exhaled deeply, squinting at the fluorescent light above. Jin understood, he remembered wanting answers to questions that seemed to have none.
"Does Jimin say anything?"
"What?"
"Does he talk at all?"
"He does..."
Gracie stepped out of the locker room, her hair pulled up in a loose ponytail, blue jeans and a hoodie. When she saw Yoongi she smiled.
"Don't worry about tomorrow. We'll figure it out. If not by her we'll ransack her room until we find something."
Jin wrapped an arm around her shoulders, with a nod towards Yoongi.
"We'll help you get him back."
Yoongi didn't say anything, his eyes were closed once more with his lips slightly parted.
"Did he just—-"
"Shhh..." Gracie hushed Jin, pulling him away from their sleeping friend. Even if he was asleep standing up. He needed sleep.
