I stare at myself in the mirror for a while, shocked at my reflection. I am in a light black ball gown with jewels in different places. My hair is half up and curled and I have makeup on my face (thanks to Melody).

I don't think I can remember myself ever looking this clean. I always had dirt somewhere on me. I look a lot richer than I am. I look, well, royal.

"You ready?" Melody asks appearing in my changing room in a seductive red dress with strappy heels on. It's going to be impossible for Melody to not draw attention but that's okay since we will probably need a distraction.

It is the night of the big ball. Me, Melody, Jack, Milo, Teresa, Adam, and Ryan were all in the dress boutique I broke us into. It was the big night. The night we kill King Damian.

"Yep" I reply and follow Melody into the main lobby of the store. All the boys are in suits that cost more than their houses and Teresa is in a midnight blue gown. We definitely looked like we belonged at a ball.

Jack looks over at me and his mouth opens a little but I angrily look away from him. I'm still mad at him but I'm more mad at myself for getting sucked back into his game.

"You look good" Jack states and holds out an arm for me. I quickily grab Milo's arm instead and walk away from him, not meeting his gaze. Melody grabs Ryan's arm and Teresa grabs Adam's arm and soon we are walking out the door.

It doesn't take long to get to the castle, only 3 blocks. There are at least 50 guards surrounding the gates. There is also 2 old guys in butler suits at the gate. We give them our tickets and thankfully they look real enough.
I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding as we step inside the gates and walk up the stone pathway. I gape at the beautiful garden on both sides of the walkway.

Milo leans towards me and says in a posh accent "honestly, you're acting like I don't own a garden twice this size" he jokes.

I smile up at him and exclaim in a snotty tone "of course, how could I have forgotten" we continue walking until we are at the doors. 2 more guards are stationed there as they open the doors for us.

We walk inside and I gasp at the interior. Everything is decked out in either gold or jewels. It is bright because of the 8 diamond chandeliers hung on the ceiling, and this was just the main hall.

Milo guides me a little more forwards and we are at the top of a velvet covered grand staircase that opens to the ball room floor where there are at least 500 people.

I watch, frozen from shock, all the people below dancing gracefully, the women all in different colored dresses with different patterns.

"Don't trip" Milo teases as he leads us down the stairs. At the bottom of the staircase we are immediately offered a glass of champaign. I decline but Milo grabs one. All of the sudden a brunette with an extremely low cut dress walks by us, catching Milo's full attention.

"Go get her tiger" I say to him and he complies and starts following her. I look around to see Melody and Ryan dancing gracefully, Teresa and Adam chatting up an old couple and, surprise surprise, Jack whispering something in a girl with bleach blonde hair's ear, making her laugh loudly.

I roll my eyes in disgust and grab a glass of wine from a servent nearby with a full platter. I make my way over to the wall to stand and watch as the party unfolds in front of me.
"Not a party person either, huh?" I havent noticed someone has come and is standing next to me. Startled, I shake my drink a little, spilling some on the floor.

"Damn" I curse as I look over at the person who spoke. My eyes go wide when I see a boy around my age with blonde hair and beautiful light blue eyes. Prince Mason.
