Cap. 10 Epilogue

 Everything was ready: camera, mic, violins, and, last but not least, their rings. Eddy was anxious for his soloist debut. Brett tried to calm him all day with no result. After all, he was anxious too, he had to play the orchestra part.

Brett: "Are you ready?"

Eddy: "With you I'm always ready"

Eddy got closer to him and left a kiss on his lips. They looked each other in the eyes; they kissed again, hard, both full of anxiety.

Eddy: "It's time to start"

Brett: "I know"

Brett walked toward the camera and clicked the play button.

Eddy: "Welcome to the Sibelius drop guys..."

They were playing really well, better than Tchaikovsky 2 mill drop. By the end of the third movement they started to become more and more anxious but they had to remain calm because the concert was not over yet! They reached the end, a bit shaking, but finally it was over.

Eddy: "...see you guys next time!"

Eddy walked away to put his violin in the case while Brett neared the camera and, instead of switching it off, he looked right into it and put a finger on his lips to advice the audience to stay silent. He took some steps back and a deep breath.

Brett: "Eddy come here please...yeah without your violin...come on I don't bite!"

Eddy reached Brett who immediately took his hands and looked at him in the eyes with a big nervous smile.

Brett: "Eddy...I know that we've only been together for two years but I think that I've always loved you. You are the hands that I want to hold in mine till we are old, you are the eyes I want to see open next to mine in the morning, you are the arms I want around me when I'm sad and when I'm happy, you are the smile I live for, and the heart I want beating for me, so...*kneeling and taking the ring from his pocket* Eddy Chen will you make me the happiest man on the earth and marry me?"

Eddy was crying listening to his boy's words. He took a napkin from his pocket: inside it there was his ring.

Eddy: "It's been a week that I have been planning to propose to you at the end of Sibelius drop but you've been faster...yes Brett I'll marry you, I'm yours"

Brett was now crying too. It was quite difficult putting the ring on each other's hands with their eyes full of tears. When they finally managed to put the ring on the right finger Brett stood up and they hugged.

Eddy: *whispering in Brett's ear* "I've noticed that you left the camera on..."

Brett: *to the camera* "Thanks for being with us guys now it's really over!"

He switched off the camera, for real this time, and kissed his future husband.
