Chimera

Chapter two

    I woke up to the bright sunlight leaking in through my window curtains. I turned to my side and stared at my wall and hear footsteps coming from the hallway. I completely forgot that I had let two guys live with me. I sat up quickly, my hair slapping me in my face and I jumped out of bed and head to my closet, taking out a t-shirt and a pair of skinny jeans. I get dressed and slip on my sneakers and go downstairs to the living room.

Corey and Theo were wide awake and were sitting on the couch and talking. Their eyes dart upward as I walked in. "You ready?" Theo asks me as he stands up and makes his way towards me. "Yeah, you said we had to meat Scott and his pack this morning?" I ask and he nods. "They would be in the library, best not to be late." I hear Corey say and look at the couch and Corey was gone. Then I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around and Corey was standing there. "How did you get there so fast?" I ask. "I can turn invisible, remember?" He says and I laugh and turn back around and we head outside and to Theo'a car and eat inside, me in the backseat and the boys in the front seat and Theo at the wheel.

Theo parks in the driveway in front of beacon hills high school and we get out of his car and make our way inside and reach the library. We approach a table with at least five people, two girls, and three boys. One of the guy stands up from his seat and heads over to us and stands in front of Theo. "Scott." Theo says. "Who's she?" Scott asks and looks at me warmly. "This, is Sierra, another chimera, we helped her yesterday get away from the dread doctors." Theo says. Another boy stands up and approached me slowly and sticks out his hand. "Hello, I'm Liam, Liam Dunbar." He says and I smile and shake his hand. "Hi, I'm Sierra, Sierra hale." I say and Liam raises an eyebrow and Scott turns towards me. "Did you just say your last name was hale?" Scott asks and I nod my head. "But I thought you didn't have any family from here, you said your step mom left with her boyfriend." Corey says. I raise an eyebrow. "She didn't say anything about her real dad, maybe she didn't know him." Theo says. "Peter, Peter hale is her dad." The girl with the strawberry blonde hair says. "And that makes Derek is her cousin and malia is her sister?" Liam asks and Scott nods his head.

"So your saying I have family I never even met? Including my real dad?" I ask and Scott nods. "Sit down, we have lots to explain, but first, what kind of chimera are you?" Scott asks. "A regular werewolf." I say as I sit down. Another guy comes from behind a bookshelf and whispers something into Corey's ear which causes him to smile. "Hi, I'm malia." A girl says from besides me. "Hi." I reply nervously. "I hope we could be good friends." Malia says and I smile and nod my head. "Sierra?" I hear Corey say and I stand up and make my way over to him. "Yeah?" I ask. "This is mason hewitt, he wanted to meet you." Corey says and mason holds out his hand and I shake it. "What is he?" I ask. "Well, he used to be possessed by something known as "the beast" but right now, he's nothing, just human." Corey says. "Hey guys" someone says behind me which causes me to jump. "Didn't mean to scare you." Liam says. "It's alright, I'm just a very jumpy person" I laugh. "Can I ask you a few questions?" Liam asks me and I nod and follow him to a small table by a large book shelf. We sit down in front of each other and he crossed his arms across his chest. "You said you were a regular werewolf?" Liam asks and I nod. "Your a chimera, so doesn't that mean that you should have two sets of dna?" He asks. "I had a sister once." I say and Liam raises an eyebrow. "Once?" He asks and I nod. "This was three years ago, I was diagnosed with some kind of cancer and my lungs couldn't hold up any longer so my sister decided to transfer one of her lungs to me which killed her but it saved me." I say and look down to my hands. Liam uncrossed his arms and reached over and grabbed one of my hands softly and looks me in the eyes. "I'm sorry" he says and let's go of my hand. "It's okay, that was three years ago, I'm over it now." I say silently and he looks up. "Are you really?" He asks and I stay quiet.

"Umm guys..." malia says and taps the other girls shoulder and points out the window. "What is it?" One of the boys ask. "They're here." Theo says and Corey runs in between me and Theo and grabs our hands and leads us against one of the bookshelves.

There was a green light everywhere and the others were looking at the window where the dread doctors were. "Why here, why now?" I ask. "We're failures." Theo says. "They won't stop coming after us?" Corey asks and Theo shakes his head. "Y'all there guys?" A boy asks from the table and keeping a close eye out the library window. "Yeah, we're here." Theo replies. "Stiles, message your dad." Scott tells the guy we were just talking to. Stiles nods and pulls out his phone from his back pocket.

This buzzing sound is heard in my ears and I let go of coreys hand so I can cover my ears. The green light disappears and Scott and malia turn to me. "What's wrong?" Scott asks. "They're trying to talk to me." I say and I feel someone from me from around my waist and pull me back and the green light appeared again. "We hear it too." Corey says and the buzzing finally stopped and I let out a sigh of relief.
