Chimera

Chapter four

That night, Theo and Corey were bugging me about how my meet with Peter went, I finally told them and they were actually shocked. "He kissed your hand?" Corey asks as he flips through the different channels on my television. "Yeah, he did, maybe I could trust him you know, he doesn't seem all that bad and doesn't fit the details that Malia was telling me about, maybe he is trying to change his ways and be a better guy that his past." I explain. "Just don't be to trusting" Theo says. "I know." I say and stand up from the couch and make my way to the kitchen to make dinner.

I feel a tap on my shoulder as I was rummaging through the fridge and I turn around and come face to face with Theo. "What are you doing?" I ask. "Just trying to help." He replies and I raise an eyebrow and nod. "I'm just making sandwiches." I say. "Okay, is that all we've got?" He asks and I nod my head. "Yeah, we don't have much stuff." I reply. "How bout we order a pizza and relax." He asks. "I don't see why not." I say and he pulls out his phone.

After we ate dinner, I decided it was getting late and I was going to go to bed. "You tired?" Corey asks. "Yeah" I say. "Okay, goodnight." Corey says. "Night." I say and Corey gives me a quick hug and goes to the living room. "I'll clean up here, you go to sleep and I'll see you in the morning." Theo says. "Okay thanks." I reply and Theo nods as I walk out of the dining room and up the stairs and to my bedroom and quietly close my door.

I head to my bathroom and turn the shower on and get undressed to take a quick shower. I step in and feel the warm water run down my skin. I stand right underneath the water and let the water hit my face along with my hair which is now wet. I feel something weird sliding down my face and I touch underneath my nose and look at my figure and notice silver blood. I quickly turn the water off and look at my finger again but the blood was gone. I rubbed my fingers together but there was nothing there and I step out of the shower and wrap a towel around my body.

I open the bathroom and head to my dresser and pull the drawers open and pulled out some of my night clothes and head back to my bathroom and look in the mirror. My nose looked perfectly normal and didn't have any silver blood underneath it or pouring from it. I sighed loudly and began to get dressed into my night clothes and ring out my wet hair with the towel and then brushed it and walked out of the bathroom.

I pulled down the comforter of my bed and slide underneath it and stared at the white ceiling until I felt tired enough to close my eyes.

I wake up in the middle of the night with the sound of a loud buzzing. I cover both my ears with my hands and fall to my knees. I start coughing and silver blood falls to the floor. I gasp for air and feel arms tighten around my arm and I look up to see a tall dark figure, face covered up by a weird mask. These were the people I've seen before, known as the dread doctors. "Let me go!" I screamed but his grip tightens and I scream. "Your condition is worsening." He says in a deep voice as I try to pull away. "Leave me alone!!" I scream again but he doesn't let go and I scream. Then next thing I knew was that I was being shaken. "Get away from me!" I yell. "Sierra..." he says in his deep voice still shaking me then I felt nails being dug into my arm and I closed my eyes tightly and opened them and I was staring at the face of Theo and Corey.

By morning, I pushed the covers off of me and stood up. "Hi." Theo says causing me to jump. "What do you want?" I ask him. "Just asking you if you were alright, you really gave Corey and I a scare last night." Theo says. "I'm sorry, it was just a night mare." I say and Theo sighs. "It was more than that wasn't it?" He asked and I nodded and sat at the edge of my bed. "Is it about the dread doctors? Are you afraid of them? That they'll get you?" Theo asked. "Yes, I'm scared of them okay?" I reply. "I understand, it's okay to be afraid sometimes, it's normal." Theo says and I nod and look down at my arm which was healed by now. "I had to do that." Theo says. "I know." I reply and stand up again and get some clothes from my dresser and start getting dressed. "You just gonna stand there and watch?" I ask. "Ummm..." Theo says as I slide my shirt on. "Go start the car then, get Corey." I say. "Oh fine, but please hurry." Theo says and I hear his footsteps fade away and I finish getting dressed and grab my backpack from underneath my bed and slide it on my back and walk out of my bedroom.
