Y/N arrived at their dorm building, using their student ID to enter the building. They saw someone in the front room and slightly waved at them, wanting to seem polite. They waved back to them and sent a small smile their way, Y/N returned the action and sent a smile of their own.
The person waved Y/N over, wanting to try and start a conversation with them. Y/N did as what was silently asked and walked over to them.
He wore a multi colored jacket with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, his left sleeve was orange, the right was green, his torso was red. He also had black fingerless gloves, a black shirt under his jacket and black sweatpants- his hair was also black.
"Hello, I don't believe I've seen you around before. Are you new here?" He asked, extending a hand to Y/N. Y/N nodded, "Yeah, I'm new. What's your name?" Y/N shook his hand.
"My name's Harvey, but everyone calls me TapL." He said, a polite smile casting on his face as he spoke. "Well, TapL, I'm Y/N. It's nice to meet you, I hope we meet again soon." Y/N said, giving him a smile of their own.
"Yeah? Me too. But I've got to go now, my friends are waiting for me outside. Nice meeting you!" He said, waving to them as he left the dorm building, not giving them time to respond.
Y/N just waved goodbye to him as he left, deciding he probably wouldn't hear them if they tried saying something anyway. Y/N continued their way to their dorm, wanting nothing more than to collapse onto their bed and fall asleep. Waving to people on their way, they finally made it to their dorm, using their ID to unlock it and go inside.
As soon as they set foot inside, they immediately flopped onto their bed. Closing their eyes in an attempt to sleep. And yet their attempts were to no avail.
After 10 minutes of failing to sleep, they just admitted defeat and sat up on their bed, leaning their back against their wall as they played on their phone.
They decided to text their mother to see how everything was at home, still missing both their parents dearly.

A subconscious sigh escaped from Y/N's lips as they placed their head in their hands and closed their eyes. They loved their mother, but sometimes it was draining even texting her.
Y/N took a deep breath and opened their eyes, taking their head out of their hands in the process. They got off from leaning against the wall and on the floor, looking under their bed.
They stared until they saw the familiar shape of the stack of books they kept under their bed, they were the college books for their subjects they purchased for the semester.
The sound of the paperback book scraping against the wooden floor, definitely wasn't the best sound in the world- but compared to nails on a chalk board, it was most definitely more bearable.
The books were finally into Y/N's hands as they wiped off the dust and dirt they got on them from being under the bed. They made their way over to their desk with their designated notebook for each class and a pencil.
They started going through the first chapters of the math work book, deciding they'd only do a few pages of each subject as to not overwork themself. After thirty minutes, their dorm room door opened and Niki comes in.
"What are you doing?" She asked, coming towards their roommate and peering over their shoulder, seeing the notebooks and workbooks. "I'm studying, I've got to be on my A game." Y/N answered, not looking up from their book and keeping their eyes on the pages as they scribbled notes into their notebook.
"Y/N, it's literally 12 am and school starts in two days. You do not need to be studying right now." Niki said, rolling her eyes as Y/N shook their head.
"I hate to disagree with you, but I most definitely do." Y/N replied. "Y/Nnnn. You can study tomorrow, just sleep today." Niki said, trying to reason with Y/N.
"Fine." Y/N said, they didnt want to continue studying anyway- they were only doing it as to not disappoint or upset their mother.
"Thank you, now let's get changed and sleep." Niki said, getting her pajamas from her dresser and turning her back to Y/N as she switched her clothes. Y/N did the same as she did, turning away from Niki and changing into pajamas.
"Goodnight, Niki." Y/N said. "Goodnight, Y/N." Niki replied.
