I was so nervous. Today was the day Oliver was going to meet my parents. They've wanted to meet him for a while, but he was always busy with Quidditch. Now that the school years over, he's coming over for dinner.

I paced back and forth in the living room, waiting to hear a knock at the door. I know I shouldn't be so nervous, but my parents can be very judgemental especially when it comes to me dating.

Finally, I heard a knock at the door. I walked over and opened the door to see a very handsome Oliver standing there. He had on a white button-up shirt and blue jeans with black dress shoes. In his hand, he had a bouquet of my favorite flowers.

"These are uh for you," he said nervously. I knew he would more nervous than me, I found it kinda cute.

"Aww thank you, Ollie. Come in," I said taking the flowers from his hand. He took his shoes off and followed me to the living room where my parents were waiting. As soon as we walked in, he squeezed my hand a little tighter but not too hard.

"Mom, Dad this is Oliver. Oliver this is my mom and dad," I said. My parents stood up and Oliver went over to shake their hands.

We all sat down and my dad decided to strike up a conversation with him.

"So Oliver what do you plan on doing after you graduate from Hogwarts?" He said with a stern voice.

"Well, I'm hoping to get accepted into a professional Quidditch team. I really love Quidditch and it would be a dream to continue it after school," Oliver said with a small smile on his face.

All my father did was nod his head.

After, we all stood up and walked into the dining room for dinner. Oliver was doing such a good job being polite and when we were eating he was very careful to not make a mess.

After dinner, my parents asked if they could talk to me alone. I nodded and we walked into the kitchen.

"So what do you think of him?" I asked.

"That's what we wanted to talk to you about dear. Your father and I aren't so sure that Oliver is a good match for you," my mother said leaning against the counter.

"Wait what..?" I said as a wave of sadness went over me. "You don't like him..?"

"It's not that, we just think that he's a little too obsessed with Quidditch. We have nothing against it, but he should be thinking of other career choices," my father said trying to explain.

I put my head down and slowly nodded. "You know I'm not going to break up with him right?" I was upset at this point.

"We know and we didn't expect you to, but we wanted to tell you what we thought of him," said my mother.

I gave them one last look and walked out into the living room to see Oliver. He immediately knew something was off.

"They don't like me do they?" He said raising an eyebrow.

I shook my head and he walked and wrapped his arms around me.

"Why..?" He said and I could tell he was really bummed. "I was trying so hard to make them like me. I thought I was doing well."

"You did amazing Ollie you really did. They just wish that you would choose a different career path," I told him.

"Oh," he said a little confused. "I'm not mad about it I just don't see how my love for Quidditch would bother someone else."

We still continued to date after that and they never got between us I just always went over to his house.
