"Okay, class. Settle down, settle down," the teacher said, walking into the room. "Today, we're going to review pirates."

"That's great," Aaron snorted.

"Mr. Davis, please don't have a repeat of what happened two years ago," the teacher sighed. "Anyway, please face your attention to the board.

"Gonner was a London orphan that wandered the streets early in life. After he became a pirate, he shortly escaped to become a poet."

"Just looks like a loser to me," Aaron snorted, making the boys around him snicker.

Cima gave him a deadly look, and he shut up immediately. She turned back to the board with an innocent smile, like nothing had happened.

Gonner... he changed his life around. She smiled at the thought of him changing his life after meeting her.

"I want you to look over a couple pieces of his works," the teacher instructed, handing out a thick packet.

Cima eagerly opened the packet. All the poetry Gonner made when he was undead could be in the packet. She fought the urge to cry as she looked through the packet. It was truly beautiful.

One piece caught her eye.

Treasure
Blue and purple
Valuable warrior
Green like the grass
Treasure

And that was a small piece of it. The poem went on and on about the beauty, like it was all he could describe.

"He wrote that shortly before his death. He wanted to preserve the beauty of the woman in history, as it said in his journal," the teacher said, and walked past her.

"Sounds like he was writing about you." Aaron winked at her.

"Ew." She cringed before turning back to the poem.

"Class, attention. I want you to keep this for references later," the teacher said.

"Going to keep that, since it's the closest thing you're going to have to a boyfriend?" Aaron taunted.

"Yeah. Yeah, that sounds like a plan," Cima said quietly.

She rushed home that day and shut herself in her room. She turned on her computer and looked up her love. The person she knew in the afterlife.

"Sis, did you-" Dixie cut herself off when she saw the packet with Gonner's name on it and her sister looking up his name on the internet. "The teachers mentioned Isis today, and she overcame her death. She didn't die how she said she did."

"Yeah, Gonner the same way. He said he was thrown overboard by a crewmate because the person wanted to be captain, but it says here he died of natural causes," Cima explained.

"Treasure?" Dixie questioned.

"He wrote it shortly before his death, apparently. Aaron said it sounded like he was describing me," Cima said while reading the historical article.

"You really think our nightmares were real?" Dixie questioned.

Cima turned to her sister. "I went into a coma because of a car accident. There is an evil witch named Nebulosa who has minions called Dark Angels. Sound familiar? I wake up in the same grave you were buried in, I escape, I meet Gonner, and we go on the run together while we open up to each other, which is how I know that half of the facts on this article are lies. Fast forward two years, you meet a mummy named Isis who was going to be married to Tutankhamun but was eaten by crocodiles. Shortly after we wake up, we find out my boyfriend died of natural causes instead of drowning and your best friend died of natural causes as well. Coincidence?"

"I don't think so anymore." Dixie shook her head.
