Is he okay?

The bell rang, and the students existed the building chatting and complaining about the annoying teachers and long assignments. Jimin however was complaining to Taehyung about why his crush didn't come today. Taehyung sighed for the umpteenth time today, he truly whished Yoongi would stop skipping school because he wasn't going to last all year listening to his best friend's constant whining but knowing how Yoongi was, the brunette was pretty sure the latter would keep on ditching school, so he simply sighed again.

"God, Jimin, can you just shut up for a minute? Yes Yoongi didn't come, we get it, just ask him why" 

Jimin was left dumbfounded, why didn't he thought of that, now that he was talking to his crush, he could ask him. And so he took out his phone and texted the young boy.

Me: Hello Yoongi, how come I didn't see you today?

Jimin turned off his phone and walked towards the Pink Café with Taehyung, stopping at the window to check himself out and send a text to his mother to let her know he will be home later then usual.

"Jimin ah!"

Jimin jumped when he heard Tae call his name, he had been lost in one of his random daydreams, which were mostly about the boy from the amusement park. He just couldn't stop thinking about him and it drove him crazy to know that but there was nothing he could do about it, at least not now.

"Sorry, what were you saying?" 

Taehyung rolled his eyes before repeating his question. "What do you want to drink?"

"Um, you can order, I'm gonna go sit down" Jimin went in an empty booth and took out his phone, almost dropping it when he saw his crush had answered him.

[Jimin's phone]

<Yoongi 😍>

Yoongi 😍 : I didn't feel like going to school today

Jimin: How come?

Yoongi 😍 : Just family issues

Jimin knew a bit about Yoongi's family problems but only what Hoseok had shared with him so he decided not to talk more about that topic.

Jimin: I missed seeing your cute smile today, even though I'm not the lucky person who makes you smile, I'm glad I can see it from time to time.

Yoongi 😍 : Who says you don't make me smile?

Jimin almost dropped his phone again when he saw Yoongi's message. Did he read it right? Did his crush just tell him that maybe, once, Jimin made Yoongi smile?? That thought made him blush which his friend didn't fail to notice when sat down with the two drinks.

"What is up with you?"

"Um, nothing" he quickly put his phone away but Taehyung knew him well and he knew Jimin was lying but not wanting to pry and maybe bother his friend, he decided to let it slip, starting a random conversation instead.

The two spend about three hours at the cafe, gossiping about school and going over an assignment they had for the next day. Jimin  tried to concentrate best he could but Yoongi's response would randomly pop up in his head, making him smile like an idiot but two out of three time Taehyung would catch him and make him focus back with a whack on the head. 

When they couldn't finish the assignment out of boredom, the two boys got their phones out to play, ordering more iced coffee and pastries to go with. 

At eight o'clock Jimin eventually made his way home after spending the entire after noon with Taehyung and Hoseok, who had joined later. His parents had already eaten dinner and he was full from eating out with his friends so he directly went to shower and change into pajamas.  

One foot out of the bathroom and Jimin heard his phone ring once, twice, three times now. Confused, the boy picked it up.

[Jimin's phone]

<Yoongi 😍>

Yoongi 😍 : Hey? 

You never answered

I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable

Are you mad?

Jimin: No no!

You didn't do anything wrong, I was just out with my friends and forgot to text you!!

Yoongi 😍 : Oh okay

So how was your day?

Jimin: It was okay

Yoongi 😍 : Just okay?

Jimin: Yeah but don't worry about it

You know, you shouldn't skip school

Yoongi 😍 : Don't worry about it, I can catch up

Do you like school?

Jimin: I do, I love it actually, I don't understand how someone can not like school

Yoongi 😍 : You;re weird 

You kind of remind me of a junior student in my English class, he's like one the best students I've ever seen

Jimin: What's he like?

Yoongi 😍 : I think his name is Jimin, my brother and he are friends and he talks about him a lot, he has soft brown hair, plumped lips I'd say and um he's super short, like a midget but has a cute smile when he laughs or smiles, which he often does

Jimin was bouncing up and down in his bedroom, the way his crush had described him, felt unreal and almost private.

Jimin: Oh, how did you notice so much details?

Yoongi 😍 : He stares at me a lot during class

That made Jimin stop jumping right away. "Shit" he cursed. He had gotten caught and quite obviously. Being at loss of words and quite embarrassed, Jimin decided not to continue with that topic but didn't know how to change the conversation so he resulted to just ending it there.

Jimin: Well goodnight Yoongi, sleep well and please come tomorrow

Yoongi 😍 : Can you please tell me who you are??

Jimin: Be patient, one day you will know, until then goodnight

Yoongi 😍 : Uh, fine

Goodnight Panda

Jimin squealed at the pet name before going to bed, clutching his panda plushie close to his heart, thinking about the boy who had given it to him, four years ago. Soon sleep invaded the brown-haired boy as he once again fell asleep thinking about a young Yoongi.

Are you okay?  being the last thought on his mind.
