What would he think about me?

"Taehyung! " Jimin ran across the street to greet his friend, today was his birthday and Jimin wanted to make the most of it before the party.

"Taehyung!! "  Jimin yelled harder, his friend wasn't stopping. Finally, Jimin managed to get a hold of Taehyung and spun him around,  raising a questioning eye brow at his friend's behavior. "What's up with you today,  didn't you hear me calling? " 

 Taehyung scoffed before intending to free himself from Jimin's grip but failed when he tightened his grip,  which made Taehyung groan and piss him off even more. 

"You know I could ask you the same question" the younger said and continued after seeing his friend's confused face.   "I called you a million times yesterday and you never picked up,  it was important and you ignored me"

 Jimin could see his friend was furious and lowered his head,  he hated to let people down and it was like he was letting down everyone around him these days.  Yesterday Jimin had gotten a few calls from the other after talking with his mother but since he had been drained from the talk and selfishly decided to shut off his phone.  

"I-I'm sorry, Tae.  I had a really bad day  and I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone" 

Tears welled up in Jimin's eyes, as he bit his lip hard to not let a single one fall and Taehyung's anger was immediately replaced by worry.  His best friend had never looked so down,  not to the point to cry in the middle of the streets so he gently grabbed Jimin's hand,  leading him inside his home and sitting him down on his couch.  

"I-I feel trapped TaeTae" 

Jimin explained the problems he was having with his family.  Respect and traditions were very important for the Parks,  Jimin was a very well educated kid, and he now had to choose between his beliefs or his dreams. But he didn't know what to do, would he be a shame for his parents if he ever came out?  If he decided to sing instead of work for his father? Would they let him live his life happy?  

All his life he was raised to believe that families were made of one man and one woman, that traditions were to be upheld above all else and that honor, honor was most important. So the mere thought of bringing shame to his household was enough to make his head spin and his stomach churn but if he was honest with himself, so did the thought of going to work for his father all his life. 

And then there was marriage... Marrying a good woman, that's what awaited him, not marrying a man. But how could he go against everything that made him who he was? How could he ever try to live like this? He would never last.

After talking with Taehyung, Jimin felt slightly better but he knew his problems couldn't be fixed with a quick talk between best friends. Still the boys decided to go to their hyung's cafe in order to celebrate the birthday properly.  They got up, putting on their shoes, as Taehyung went on and on about something. Jimin tried to listen and pretend everything was okay but he wasn't able to shake this pit forming inside of him. 

Taehyung opened the door, calling for Jimin who had left to go clean himself up in the bathroom.  

Knock knock 

"Jimin? " he called. "Are you okay?" 

No answer came. Pushing his ear against the wall to try and hear if his friend was alright, all he could hear was What would he think about me?! over and over again. 

The brunette stood there waiting for his friend to calm down for nearly fifteen minutes. Once the noise died down, he knocked on the door and talked to Jimin who still wasn't ready to come out. The elder understood and went to sit on the couch, he took out his phone and played a few games until Jimin eventually opened the door and went to sit next to him.

Taehyung didn't ask about it and Jimin didn't talk about it either,  both boys understood that it was better to get past it then make the other uncomfortable, so instead they played and went out for ice cream at the Pink Cafe, enjoying the sunny day.

Short update but I'm thinking of updating later today again
