"Mouse-dung." I hissed, furiously looking to see who had scared the squirrel away. The grass rustled as a pair of green eyes met mine.
"Sparrowfeather." I laughed, all my anger forgotten. "What are you doing?"
Sparrowfeather's eyes flashed mischievousy as he tensed, preparing to leap.
Oh, you wanna play now, huh?I pretended to look scared as he jumped out of his hiding place. I let him get a few mouse lengths away from me. I then quickly sidestepped. He yowled in surprise as he pounded past me.
"Apprentice move Sparrowfeather, aren't you a warrior?" I teased.
"Um..." he meowed, embarrassed.
I purred and padded over to him. It had been a moon since StormClan had exiled us. Luckily, we only met one patrol when we were hunting to close to the border. We ran away before they could get a closer look at us and we haven't been bothered ever sense.
"Silverpaw..." Sparrowfeather continued, "do you, well, ever miss living in the clans?"
Although the question startled me, I tried to not show it.
"Yeah." I surprised myself saying that. I really do miss the clans.
Sparrowfeather looked down and shifted his paws. "I was thinking... maybe we could go back and join a clan?" Sparrowfeather glanced up at me, watching for my reaction. "Plus, you deserve your Warrior name and you can't get one unless you join the clans and-"
My look silenced him.
"Okay." I softly said.
He looked extremely relieved. "Great!" He leapt to his paws. "When can we go?"

--Sparrowfeather's P.O.V--
I padded alongside Silverpaw, our muddy pelts brushing.
Silverpaw had insisted on covering our scent with mud, just incase we still carried the smell of StormClan. While we were rolling around in the mud, we had decided to go to MistClan-- as they were the least hostile clan.
Silverpaw tensed.
"What are you doing here?"
I jerked out of my thoughts and glared back at the MistClan patrol standing in front of us.
"We'd like to join your clan." Silverpaw simply said. A light brown she-cat exchanged glances with a white tom. After a few heartbeats, they both looked back toward us.
"We'll take you to Ivystar. She'll decide." The she-cat meowed, no longer looking as hostile. She beckoned us forward with her tail. "What are your names?" She asked as we padded alongside her. I glanced at Silverpaw. We can't tell her our real names.
"Silver." She meowed.
"Sparrow." I said.
"Well, hello. I'm Duskwing." She said. I nodded in acknowledgement. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Duskwing nod to the white tom. He sped up, most likely going ahead to warn Ivystar.
The scent of MistClan grew stronger as we approached the camp. I slowed down a bit so Duskwing could take the lead. I padded through the heather covered entrace, Silverpaw following closely behind. All around us cats gave us suspicious glares. It probably wouldn't be good to glare back at them, so I just settled for glaring at the ground instead.
"Step forward." A strong voice commanded. I lifted my head up and did as the voice had asked. Ivystar's sharp green gaze looked us over while she jumped onto a large fallen tree. "What are your names?"
"Sparrow." I repeated.
"Silver." Silverpaw said, twitching her tail.
"Duskwing told me you want to join MistClan?" A few cats yowled in protest at Ivystar's words. She silenced them with a glare.
"Yes. I know it's almost leafbare, but we can help catch prey." I said, resting my tail tip on Silverpaw's shoulder.
"Very well. You may stay for a few days. And if you have proven you're not just a waste of food by then, you can earn your warrior names and live here. Redear," Ivystar called to a gray tom. "Show these two around camp and make sure they get a nest in the warriors den."
Redear dipped his head in acknowledgement.
"Meeting dismissed." Ivystar leapt down from the fallen tree and padded inside a den, I assumed hers.
"Hi, Silver, Sparrow." Redear said. "Follow me, I can have the apprentices work on your nests while I show you around camp. Oh," he looked at our muddy pelts, "you might want to clean up..."
