Silver's POV

I prowled forward, my gaze fixed intently on a squirrel as it nibbled on it's nut. I tensed and prepared to pounce. Just a bit farther...The squirrel took off as paws pounded loudly towards me. "Foxdung!" I snarled under my breath. I turned around as a brown tabby burst through the undergrowth.
Oakpaw.
Something's wrong.

The apprentice stopped in front of me as blood trickled down his side. He gasped out, "PineClan... attacked border patrol... need reinforcements." I took off before he had finished and racked my brains to remember who was in the patrol. Emberflame, Larkwing, Nightmist and Sparrowfeather.

With that thought, I ran even faster, hoping beyond hope that he was okay. Leaves crackled under my paws as I followed the faint trail that Oakpaw had left. Loud yowls met my ears and the scent of blood touched my nostrils. I burst through the long grass and saw Sparrowfeather grappling with a golden furred tom. I snarled and leapt forward to my clanmate's aid. I slashed through golden fur and felt a prick of satisfaction as the tom ran away yowling. Applestreak's brown and white fur blurred past me as she was bowled over by a scarred white tom. Frostscar, I remembered from the previous gathering. He had openly challenged StormClan for taking in a rogue. For taking in me.

I spun around and hissed at Frostscar. He clawed Applestreak's neck and then turned toward me. "Ahh, if it isn't the little apprentice Silverpaw." He sneered. "Or should I say rogue?" He laughed as he slid his bloodstained claws out. Fury rose inside of me. I know that he was trying to make me attack him, but I still lunged for the white warrior anyway. He sidestepped and and flashed his claws out at me. A white hot bolt of pain flashed through my ear, making me shriek. I retaliated with a hiss and jumped onto his back. He threw me off. I landed lightly on my paws as Shadowstar, Amberleaf, Sweetpaw, Winterbreeze, Fernshade and Windpaw ran past me and charged at PineClan warriors. Frostscar hissed and ran at me. We collided and he pushed me down. He clawed at my throat, trying to suffocate me. Blackness started creeping at the edges of my eyes as I fought for breath.

"H-help." I choked out, trying to push him off to no avail.

After a few long heartbeats I stopped struggling. Maybe giving up would be better than fighting on. I closed my eyes. Suddenly, the weight was lifted. "You don't need to kill to prove you've won, Frostscar." A strong voice angrily hissed. "Come on, leave her." My eyes fluttered open as Frostscar nodded in annoyance. His tail brushed over me as he whispered, "Watch your back Silverpaw. Some cats are darker than they seem." He padded away, leaving me to wonder what he ment. My eyes suddenly closed as I passed out into blackness.

Short chapter... again... sorry. xD I just wanted to get this out today and this seemed like a good place to end.
Anyway, can you guess what Frostscar ment? And I wonder why and what he warned Silverpaw about... ;3
