Years ago, on Earth Julius Belmont defeated Dracula and sealed his castle away in the eclipse. Unfortunately, he could only do so with him inside. However doing so did not seal it away, but moved it. To another dimension entirely. It moved to Remnant, an alternate version of Earth infested with creatures of Grimm.

However bringing the castle to Remnant also brought the creatures of darkness born from it. Werewolves, and all manner of the undead spread throughout the land. Remnant was in chaos and this spawned more creatures of Grimm.

Luckily a Belmont was there.  He Julius began to move throughout the land, taking on any and all monsters he could find. Eventually, he had grown tired of the drudgery of killing these beasts. So he attempted to reignite the Belmont family.

Now hundreds of years later. The Belmonts have become a very prominent huntsmen family. Being seen as the best of the best and non-Grimm specialists.

Non-Grimm studies have become part of the curriculum at huntsman and combat schools. Speaking of their strengths, weaknesses, and abilities. There has even been a whole new science created specifically to research them.

One thing they've noticed is that creatures of Grimm, and non-Grimm monsters have shown to be highly compatible. In more ways than one. The two species often coexist with each other, as well as mate. Although Grimm don't reproduce the same way as normal monsters. The monsters usually force themselves on the Grimm, and reproduce that way. It's almost more common for Grimm to come back from the dead, than not.

Luckily in this time of strife, Dracula hadn't appeared. Other vampires have though, making their own cults, and cabals. Some for their own purposes, and some with a grander desire. Whether they were a product of Dracula or not was a topic of concern for the Belmonts.

They were the only family that knew of Dracula's existence. It has been a tightly guarded secret within the family.

The castle has since disappeared. To where is unclear, but it definitely isn't somewhere populated.

Now we get to modern day, where a boy is seen training with a whip. This boy was Y/N Belmont. Heir to the Belmont clan, and an amatuer monster hunter. He is currently 17 and getting ready to head to a huntsman academy.

Without his knowing his father came into the training room of the Belmont Estate, placed firmly in the countryside of Mistral. "Y/N, I'd like to speak with you."

You looked back for a second before holstering your whip and turning to face your father. He was a tall man of decent build. Although he married into the name, he was built like a Belmont. Lean yet muscular, and clean shaven. He also taught you everything you knew. He was in turn taught by your grandfather.

"What did you need Father?"

He looked behind him before dropping his dignified look. "Oh come on! We're alone, we can act normal."

You also slouched a bit before going to embrace your dad. "So what's up?"

"Well kiddo, I'm just making sure you're ready for your move to Vale. Also, back up, you're sweaty and gross right now."

You laughed, and let him go. "Yeah I'm all good. All my other weapons are packed and shipped off to the apartment as well as my clothes. I'm taking my scroll and books with me on the bullhead so I don't get bored and blow my brains out. The only thing I'm really missing is myself, and my whip."

"That's good, now do you remember my objectives for you at Beacon?"

You rolled your eyes, "Of course I do, #1 kill my first vampire. #2 get a girlfriend. And #3 have some fun."

He pats your back and pretends to sniffle, "*sniff* That's my boy." He then goes back, "Alright then, you should go rest and make sure you're completely ready for your trip."

Regaining his pompous attitude from before, he leaves the training room. You also took this as a chance to leave, and headed up to shower.

Afterwards, you go to the library to stock up on books to read on your flight, and for entertainment. You see your mother reading a book just released about new Grimm/non-Grimm hybrids. "Good afternoon Mother."

She gave you a quick glance before refocusing on her book. "Good morning Y/N, I assume you're here for some books for your trip."

You nodded, not that she saw. Your mother was a very scholarly woman. Always had her nose in a book. She was also one of the top scientists in non-Grimm studies, thanks to all sorts of hidden knowledge accessible only to the Belmonts.

She is the biological Belmont, although she isn't a monster hunter, much like the rest of the family. She has contributed much to the knowledge of the family, and made their jobs easier. She made sure you were smart enough to not get yourself killed.

Without looking up she spoke, "I put some general studies books on the table. Some local monsters of Vale are on the shelf in the back."

"Thank you Mother, I'll collect them now." It might not seem like she cares, but she does. She's just not physical about it like dad is. She's just trying to give you the best chance to succeed.

You went and grabbed the books then headed to your room to load you carry-on. You just had tonight, and then you'd be on your way to Vale in the morning.

The Next Day

The morning went by like a blur. You woke up, grabbed your carry-on bag, and rushed through the house. You still had quite a bit of time, but you were excited.

Saying goodbye to your parents as you rushed past them. You sprint out the door, and make your way to the private family bullhead. As soon as you boarded you realized that not even the pilot was there yet. So you decided to get some sleep to replace the sleep you lost last-night.

You awoke to the engines of the aircraft starting, and now you were on your way to a whole new adventure.
