The Vampire Slayer of Remnant

Chapter 2- The Heist That Started it all

Previously:

You awoke to the engines of the aircraft starting, and now you were on your way to a whole new adventure.

Currently:

You were just reading your books and waiting to arrive in Vale. You looked out the window to see you were above the ocean with land ahead of you. You could only assume it was Sanus, the continent of which Vale and Vacuo resided on. 

You assumed you only had about an hour or two before you arrived. Unfortunately it would be dark by the time you got there. You decided to get some sleep so you weren't exhausted when trying to find your new apartment.

An hour and a half later:

You awoke to the jolt of landing on the ground. You took a solid 10 seconds to get your bearings. Rubbing the sleep out of your eyes, you grab your carry-on and make sure you have your whip attached. 

You walk out of the bullhead trying to suppress a yawn. Travelling is tiring. Looking around you seem to be near the outskirts of the town. 

Deciding not to wait around, you turn on your scroll and type in the address for your current housing. When the route loaded you followed it down the streets. 

You eventually reached a street with a dust shop on it. As you walked past the window it broke. You quickly turn around and grab your whip. You see a girl in red holding a giant scythe looking into the shop through the broken window. 

When you look through the window, you see what seems to be a bunch of goons in red and black suits. There's also a ginger in a white suit among them.

Looking back at the girl, you watch as she prepares for battle and turns off her headphones.

With an order from the ginger, the other men run out of the store and go on the offensive. This is when you decide to intervene. 

You get behind the group that charged and snapped your whip at the one closest to you. Which caused him to go down. 

Now everyone's attention was on you and you quickly noticed this. "What? Never seen someone use a whip before?"

Seemingly agitated by your nonchalance the, one of the men switched their target to you, while the other focused on Red. 

Your opponent charged at you, which was a big mistake. When he swung at you, you used your superior agility and jumped over the sword. Morphing your dodge into a handspring off of the goon you went over him and sent him stumbling. You then wrapped your whip around his ankles, and forced him to fall. 

You landed into a roll, and sprinted at your opponent who was beginning to get up. You decided to end the fight with a flying knee to the face, which knocked him out.

Turning your attention away from him, you see Red finishing up with her goon by sending him flying at the ginger in white who was now out of the shop. 

The ginger then began to talk, "You were worth every cent, truly you were." He then threw his cigar on the floor and stamped it out with his cane. "Well you two, I'd think we can all say it's been a truly eventful evening. As much I'd love to stick around and chat, I have somewhere to be." He then aims the cane at a spot between you and Red and fires. 

You roll away, while Red uses the recoil of her weapon to spring up. When you look to where he was standing, he was gone. You looked around and saw him trying to escape to the rooftop. 

You immediately ran after him, and before he went over the edge of the roof, you were already at the base of the ladder. As you were climbing, you saw Red blur past you and make it over the edge of the roof. 

When you get there, you see a bullhead rise from the alleyway. You also watch as the ginger climbs into it and yells out, "End of the line you two!" He tosses a dust crystal at Red's feet and prepares to shoot it. 

Thinking fast you wrap your whip around Red's torso, and pull her back towards you. She collides into you, and you both go down. As soon as you're able to get up, you see a woman standing there with a glyph blocking the explosion. 

She was blonde and was dressed professionally except for the cape on her back that was black on the outside, and purple on the inside. As you were taking her all in, she started to attack the bullhead with purple projectiles. You watched as the ginger moved to the cockpit and began to pilot, while a woman moved from the cockpit into the cargo bay. 

She wore a shining red dress and had glowing eyes. Before you could assess her anymore, she began to move and create a geyser of fire where the blonde woman stood. The blonde dodged, and used the rubble created from the previous attack to make an attack of her own. However it was quickly shot down by the fire lady.

The rubble quickly reformed and resumed the attack, but the ginger was able to deflect it. Once again the rubble reformed and became very fluid in it's movement. Although it too was quickly taken care of thanks to a shockwave the fire lady created.

Gunfire started to sound behind you as Red was taking shots at the bullhead. You however couldn't do much thanks to your lack of range at the moment. When the fire lady attempted to use the geysers again, you dodged forward, and were a few feet away from the blonde. 

The action died down as the bullhead flew away. You just stood there, waiting for what was to come next. You assumed you weren't getting home tonight. 

Red suddenly became very excited and rushed to the blonde, "You're a huntress. Can I have your autograph?" 

That's how you ended up in an interrogation room with a sad looking red girl and an angry and lecturing blonde woman.
