Landmarks
When a smile is hard cash,
thoughtlessness a blessing,
remember these words:-Grey cairns on hills,
marking rare roads,
grow solely through the placing of stones.Travelling there,
responsibility
is only a small gesture:you do not build alone;
each pebble should be
another surety,another person's
token of exploration
token of return...........................
Waiting
Of all the different shapes the world assumes
I think I would prefer not to prefer
any one of them set above the rest,
publicly, giving danger a name.Their lulling chorus broods me peaceful here,
rained on, standing by this telephone box,
under streetlight, waiting for the late bus,
gutter water echoing down a drain.
