It was lightening now outside as I laced up my black combat boots. Considering I knew what I had to do and what I was going to do, I still had some questions. But some of them would be answered soon enough. I walked over to the mirror and pushed my black hair into a bun and looked at myself. I was no longer who I used to be and that was going to take some getting used to.

I didn't hear any commotion outside of my room as I grabbed my phone. Reaching for the paper that I had previously written on, I stuck it into the bag that was on the bed. I didn't pack much, I was just needing something to keep my phone and letter dry from the rain. I plugged some earphones in to the phone before putting in the bag so I could listen to the GPS telling me the right directions.

Looking over at the wall clock, I noticed that it was 12:30 in the morning. It was still storming and it was very dangerous out there considering, it was night and you couldn't see anything. But at this moment, I didn't care. I knew what I was about to do had to be done because I had made my decision. Zipping everything up, I slung the bag across my back and walked to the bedroom door. Slowly and quietly, I opened up the door, to see if Damon or August was in the immediate room but the coast was clear. I was good to go. My only hope was that I could make it to the front door without anyone walking in on me. August was a vampire, I know he didn't need sleep but I still questioned what it was that he did.

Quickly and quietly, I walked to the door front door and clicked the lock before slipping myself out of it. Hopefully the loudness of the rain didn't and thunder wasn't loud enough to disturb whatever it was they were doing. Once I knew I was out of the house and I knew nobody was trailing me, I began to make my way on my journey. No matter what life I chose, I knew the first stop that I had to make.

As the two men sat at the what they would call a kitchen table, Damon smoked a cigarette as August watched out of the window. The rain was coming down hard and had no intention of letting up anytime soon.

"How far do you think she's going to get?" Damon asked, tapping his cigarette on the astray before lifting it back up and taking a drag.

August shook his head, "No clue. I hope she doesn't die though."

Damon scoffed and licked his lips. It was comical because they both heard her walk out of the house and close the door. If she was trying to be sneaky she wasn't doing a very good job at it.

"So what are we going to to do?" Damon asked, smashing his finished cigarette.

August cleared his throat and stretched his long legs and tossed his shades on the table. Nobody had really seen his eyes but Damon. They were not a normal eye color. It was very rare. Actually his eyes looked as though he could be blind. They were a crystal color. His eyes were undefined.

"About what in particular?" August asked rubbing the corners of his eyes.

"About Amina. I mean what if she doesn't come back. What if she does? How are we going to explain to her that--"

"That what?" August interrupted. "That she should just walk away and not do this? Not to what she was chosen to do?"

Damon frowned in confusion but it left as quickly as it came. He was sure now that August had heard the conversation between him and Amina.

"Aug I-" He started.

August shook his head and tapped his index finger in the table. He was upset and disappointed.

"Will you listen?" Damon asked, getting upset that August wasn't letting him explain his side.

August moved his eyes to Damon's blue ones and remained emotionless and still. Damon took that as a sign to continue speaking.

"I told her that because I wouldn't want anyone to do this. Remember when we first started this shit? What did I say?" Damon prompted, looking over at August.

Shifting in his seat, August sighed and shrugged. "You said, we would regret it."

"Damn right and you can't sit there and tell me that you don't regret it because I know that you do." Damon snapped, sitting back in his seat.

Both of them were silent and watched each other. Nothing was said as both of their minds wandered. August knew Damon was right. Yes, he did regret it but that was beside the point. He was a Blood Bandit now. There was no going back. But Damon was right, Amin had a choice. It's just that both of them hoped for different out comes.

"I know that you are right Damon. I get that, but we are Blood Bandits. We are attracted to other Blood Bandits. It's our job to recruit and we have to do this. Amina deserves better than this I know that but--"

"Do you?"Damon asked. "Because I honestly feel that you have something else going that you ned to put on the table."

Frowning, August jerked back and narrowed his eyes at Damon. "What the hell are you talking about?"

Damon cocked his brow and crossed his arms. "I'm talking about the fact that you like her and you are being selfish. You don't want her not become one because you might actually lose her."

"Bullshit." August scoffed. "You're delusional because Amina and I don't like each other like that. She is supposed to be a Blood Bandit and that's that. Anything else is all in your brain. But maybe it's because you like her. You sure are being very helpful to her with everything."

Rolling his eyes Damon laughed, knowing August was just jealous and letting off some steam towards him. He liked Amina but it wasn't like that. He did know that he and her probably would come very close friends.

"Whatever. Let's just hope she makes the right choice." Damon sighed.

They both nodded but hoped for two different choices.

Meanwhile Amina was in front of her mother's house, she's finally made it. She seen her mother from the window, siting up in the bed. She was reading. Every now and then she would reach for her phone and lay it back down with a frown on her face. She knew for a fact that her mother probably knew she was wanted by now.

There was no way she could contact her mother by phone because that would be the first place Kenneth and Leslie would go. Her phone had been buzzing since she left hotel and had dozens of missed calls from Kenny. Amina was in no mood to even think about talking to him. Hell, for all she knew it could be a trap. But all of her thoughts were jumbled when it came to her mother and the love that she had for her. The choice that Amina was making revolved around her mother. That was the only thing that made this hard for her. But Amina knew what she had to do.

While watching her mother, she seen her reach over and placed the book on the table and shut off the light. This gave Amina the chance to make her move. Attempting the move that she used to use when she was a teen, she slipped in the garage door, towards the back of the house. Her mom wouldn't hear her then. Reaching her mother's room, she pulled out a folded envelope. It contained a letter to her that would change everything from this moment on. The letter was dry, it was safe from all of the water of the rain.

Smiling, Amina leaned down and pecked her mother's cheek. She then slid the letter in the crease of her folded book, knowing she would receive it tomorrow. Slowly backing out of the room, Amina left the only place she knew. The only life that she knew. Amina now knew that she was destined for more and this could no longer be her home.

Before leaving the room completely, Amina took one last glance at her mother, embedding her in her brain.

"I love you mom."

End.

There will be a sequel but it will not be released on wattpad. This book will be available for purchase very soon. I'll post a link to where it can be purchased. Thank you for those who took the time to read this.
