After learning about the powers and the different species I was up against, I began to get sleepy. There was a lot to know and so little time to learn it. My mind was racing about everything that I'd learned about. Werewolves, witches and warlocks. Vampires and now hybrids. Vampire and werewolf mix. They'd been out for years according to the movies.

Laying in the bed that Damon had directed me to, I quietly grabbed a pen and paper that was on the side table. This life was one that was new to me and I knew living this life was going to take away from the one I'm living now. Or was.

There was quick knock on the door. I sighed. Hopefully it wasn't August. I just didn't want to speak with him right now.

"Yes?" I answered.

"Can I come in? It's me,Damon." I sighed in relief.
I placed the pen in the middle of the notepad and put in on the side table.

"Sure. Come in."

He peeped his head through and smirked. "Thought it was August huh?" He asked.

I nodded. "Yes, actually."

He walked over to the side of the bed. "May I sit?"

I scooted over and patted the side of the bed. Watching him, he rubbed the top of his pants and sighed.

"So. I just wanted to see where your heads at about everything. I know this must be hard for you to wrap your head around." He began, looking over my face.

Sighing, I shook my head, letting my shoulders drop.

"I'm confused and upset. I can't believe August was gonna use me as a guinea pig. All he had to do was ask me or somethings he was just giving to fucking turn me into a hybrid. How was I supposed to handle that?!" I snapped, giving it to him all.

He nodded and tucked his tongue in his jaw. His icy blue eyes stared right through me.

"And if he would have asked you, would you had done it?"

I jerked my head up and looked at him. "Would I had done what?"

"Let him turn you in a hybrid, if he'd asked ."

Oh.

"Well I don't know. Maybe. Maybe not. I'm just confused about it all." I sighed not really knowing what was going on.

Damon nodded and tapped his fingers against his knee. It looked like something was in his mind but wasn't sure how to say it. But I didn't pressure him. I wasn't sure I wanted to. With everything going on, I wasn't completely positive that I wanted to know what was going on in his brain.

"Look. I'm going to be straight forward with you. I've been around for a very long time and so has August. We have been blood bandits for a very long time. Before we even knew we were chosen we went through what you're going through. It's different for everyone but I assure you, at the end of the day we all have to make the same choice. To either become a Blood Bandit or not." He explained, twisting his lips to the side.

I adjusted my back against the headboard and sighed. "And what if I choose not to become one?"

He shrugged, "Well we can't force you but you will become more powerful. Too powerful for the human world. Little things will trigger your temper and you could rip someone's head off by accident. But I'll tell you one thing, whether you want to or not, you will change and you'll be alone."

I frowned not understanding. "Change?"

"Mm, yes. Into a wolf. That's a lot to go through and it's a lot to handle alone. Hell, it's hard to handle with someone. My girlfriend was a wolf and she went through it every full moon night. It looked like it was gonna kill her every time. I hated watching her go through that." His eyes wandered across the room to the window, the rain was pouring down against it.
