A ray of sunshine reflected on a mirror — shining directly onto Adeline's face.

She fluttered her eyes with force; she wiped the crust off her skin. The tears had dried and created a layer of caking.

'Adeline! You're finally awake, you should get ready, we have Defence Against the Dark Arts in forty minutes — you haven't even eaten!' Adeline blinked a few times.

The girl peered over at the window — soft rain, the sun was rising behind the clouds. Adeline stretched her arms; Yuki let out a sleepy meow, notifying the girl that it's awoke now too.

In a tired, hoarse voice Adeline replied, 'Right. I wouldn't want to miss D.A.D.A. with the new professor — she looked strict, after all — she's from the Ministry of Magic.' Sitting down, Adeline felt her head dizzy.

She quickly seized her head in pain. 'Maybe you should go to Madam Pomfrey — she can take a look.' Luna advised.

'Stay calm, Luna. I'm sure it's just morning dizziness — I get it quite often.' She lied. Adeline knew — the pain was from yesterday's fall. She remembered him — her soulmate.

'A soulmate is a friend who never leaves.' Adeline's father used to say.

Draco never left her side, even in her darkest. He stayed, and the right ones stay — maybe a little away, but they always stay.

'Do they have nothing else to do, rather than screaming?' Adeline's head turned to Luna, they always sat together.

Turns out that most of the Raveclaw's and Slytherin's classes will be together this year. Adeline wouldn't be happy, but on this occasion — would they meet again?

Adeline laid her head down on the table, 'Maybe it'll help — even a bit.' The girl thought.

'Don't be so harsh on them, not all are bad, this year most of them seem quiet. For example — Malfoy looks quiet, he hasn't made a noise!' Adeline's eyes widened when she heard his name.

Her head lifted up and she glanced behind her; trying to find him — there he was, seated one seat behind, to the left. His head gently resting on his palm; blankly looking at the table.

Only one phrase echoed in his head, 'So strangers we will stay.' But only he can understand her; he was the only one she has let into her heart, but also — the one who broke it.

Draco glanced straight into Adeline's eyes — those green eyes. And that damned smile of hers.

Eyes have a language of their own — her eyes were in love, his eyes were in pain.

Are we a moment or a life time?

But what is a lifetime? What is forever?

Well, my love, sometimes — forever is just a moment.

There is a storm inside of me, it can inly be calmed by the warmth of your arms.

Draco, I promised — I still haven't broken the promise. But we are not meant to be, it just can't be.
