My first impression of the ruins were that they were amazingly beautiful. It was easy to tell they were ruins of a castle. Everything was still mostly intact too. All though it was run over by plant life. It was mainly vines with thorns. At the front, of the ruins, was a gate, a very rusted gate. It almost looked like the color of dried blood. I really did love the look of it, but that's not why I'm here. I came here for my parents.
I picked up my bag and slowly walked though the gate. I continued for a few more steps before stopping at the center of a circle. I think it was a family seal. It was very pretty, yet complicated. I stared at it for a moment before walking forward once more.
As soon as I stepped one foot past the seal, I got a bad feeling. A feeling of being watched or hunted. I assumed it was just my imagination. I get the feeling a lot because of Kris. It was probably from memory, or at least that's what I thought at first. When my other foot left the seal, I saw something move. The vines were moving. They are moving closer to me, almost like they were trying to sneak up on me.
It was weird and it scared me. I quickly started running back to the gate, but when I started running, the vines attacked. I didn't stop, I don't know anyone who would. I was almost out of the gate when one of the vines twisted around my ankle. The thorns ripped though my clothes and cut my skin. The vine had a tight hold of my ankle. I tried to pull my leg away, but it pulled back, making me fall. It started dragging me back in the direction of the seal. I tried grabbing some of the rock and stones to stop but the vines pulled harder and cut deeper.
The vine wrapped itself around my whole body, cutting and scraping my clothes and skin. It was all around me, it even caused me not to see. Everything was black and awfully painful. It was also cold, not the vines or the weather, but the atmosphere. I don't understand why but it keeps getting colder. Maybe it was nothing, I could be hallucinating after all, I am incredibly dizzy. It hurts more and more every second. I could tell that the vines had lifted me off the ground. I stayed as still as possible hoping the vines would let me go or loosen their grip. They didn't, they just got tighter around me. Doing so they cut me deeper, if they don't stop I'm going to die.
My mind left me and I have become very faint from lose of blood. The vines were still hurting me. I am having a hard time keeping my eyes open, so I won't pass out. I finally gave into the urge and let my eyes start to close. My eyes were almost closed when I heard a voice say, "Stop!" Afterward I felt the vines drop me o the stones below. I looked up to see the person who saved me. I couldn't though, my vision was too blurry. It didn't take long before it became black. The cold feeling from earlier was worse then it has ever been. It was so cold that it burned.
When I woke up I was warm and in a bed. It was a very comfortable bed. I looked out the window and noticed it was dark outside. I must have been asleep for a long time. I stayed still for a minute until I was fully awake. When I was I noticed that my chest felt really heavy. It hurt to stay like this. I decided it would be best to just get up. When I started to sit up, I felt something move beside me. I looked beside me to see what it was and saw a boy. He was definably older than me. He looks around nineteen or twenty. He looks very beautiful, but I don't know him. I have to get out of here.
I sat up, I felt my feet against the chilly wood floor. I started to stand up but I felt someone grab the neck if my shirt pulling me back down on the bed. He moved his arm around my waist holding me in place. I tried to get away but he pulled me back again. I was leaning against his chest. I could feel his warm breath against my ear, "Where are you going?" His voice scared me but I remember his voice. He was the one who saved me from the vines.
I thought I herd him growl, making me flinch in fear. I gripped his arm and pulled him off of me, and started running to the door. I herd him snap his fingers causing me to stop and look back at him. He was smiling at me, his smile makes me tremble. I was about to continue running but vines wrapped around my wrists. They pulled my hands above my head and lifted me off the ground. I herd the creaking of the floor as the boy walked closer to me. I couldn't see him but I could tell he was close. I watched him as he walked around me and stood in front of me. He placed his hand on my chest, staring at me. It felt like he could see though me. He had a very angry expression that sent chills down my spine. I looked away from him and hoped he would leave me alone. I felt his fingers on my chin as he made me look into his eyes, "So, where do you think you are going, my little pet?"
Did he just call me a pet? He reminds me a bit of Kirs, overconfident and rude. I glared at him, "I don't know who you are and I'm not your pet!" I was breathing deeply. I didn't mean to yell at him. I felt bad about it, I don't know why.
That feeling soon disappeared when I saw him smile. It was a crooked smile, "No need to yell. My name is Region Nalice. What's yours? If I were you I would answer because if you don't I'll let Vine have you. It seems your're really wanted."
I shivered at the thought. I could tell it wasn't a joke. It couldn't be with the way the vines cut into me. I adverted my eyes from his, "Azon Ruin, my name is Azon Ruin."
