Why does Childe have to spend all his time with Zhongli? He acts as if they're dating. I'm his boyfriend, not Zhongli. He's a pain in my ass. Ha, I'll be a pain in his.

"What are you laughing about (Y/N)?"

"Wow, you remember I was here." I look down at my book.

He walks over, pulls out a chair. "You had lunch without?" He looks at the plates and bowls.

"Lunch was two hours ago. Lumine and Paimon stop by. You know what Paimon like."

I could see he was angry, it quickly fades. "Lumine in Liyue?"

"Yes, we're meeting up tomorrow. Anyway, I got to get back to the bank. I'll see you at home, maybe."

I walk away, leaving Childe at the restaurant.

"Bloody Janet, can't do a bloody thing." Walk into our house. Kick my shoes off, go get a drink.

I see Childe is cooking. "What are you doing?"

"Isn't it obvious, I'm cooking."

"I can see that, why are you cooking though?"

"You've been working at the bank."

"Like I do every day. Unlike you the eleventh harbinger, that works with Zhongli. The Geo Archon must be hard work. Moreover, it's my night to cook."

"Oh is someone jealous? ~"

He moves over, take look he's making special 'A Prize Catch'. I hand it back, "you know damn well I don't know how to cook this."

He takes over, "that's why I cook it. You haven't answered my questions."

"You've only asked me one."

"No, two. One what were you laughing about this morning? Two are you jealous?"

Gawd I hate him, "yes I'm jealous. You spend even more time with Zhongli than you have before. The only time I get to see you is if I wake up throughout the night." It sucks, he use to make an excuse to get me out of the bank. Not that he needed to, being the director of it.

"I've been busy..." He turns back to his cooking.

"Right harbinger stuff. This lowly Fatui going for a shower."

As I go to turn, Childe grabs my wrist pulls me back. "What have I told you about calling yourself lowly Fatui?" Even though his voice is lace with anger, I can hear the softness in it.

"You don't tell me anything. Plus you put me in the bank for what reason? So I don't get hurt, that's right." Look over his shoulder, "you're going to burn dinner." He still held my wrist, "I'll turn it off." I reach around to turn it off.

"I don't want to lose you, you're the only one I trust." His grip tightens, then relaxes. "You've always got the mora ready and waiting."

"You're the one that leaves notes on the table for me."

"Like you when you leave notes in the pouch?"

I feel my face heat up, "it's the only way I get to talk to you..."

"'My Precious Narwhal, I hope you are successful with your mission today. I'll be here waiting for your return.' So sweet, you care so much about me."

"Shut up! Of course, I care about you! You idiot! You don't let me go with you anymore, so I worry about you." I'm worried he won't come home.

"Why do you call sea otter? And I'm not little!"

"Did you know when sea otter go to sleep they hold each other's paws? So they don't drift apart, at sea. When I get into bed, you search for my hand. It's rather cute."

"Hmmm..." I didn't know about that.

"Look you're embarrassed. Tell me something, I don't know."

"You eat like a narwhal, with the amount of squid you eat."

"I do not!"

He's cute when angry, "I'm kidding Tar. You're as mysterious as the narwal. No one knows much about you." His face turns red, "now who's embarrassed?" I grab his wrist pull him close kiss him. "Let's have dinner before it goes to waste."

"Right..."

I set the table, as he finished dinner. He asks about what Janet done. I tell him she stuff up the accounts. Took me all afternoon to fix them. When I asked him about his day, says harbinger business. Of course...

Later we go to bed, I face the wall. "You're not going to hold my hand, so I don't drift away?"

I turn over and grab his hand. "Shut up, go to sleep."

"No, kiss?"

I pull him down, kiss him. Fuck when was the last time we kissed? Let go of his hand, pull him on top of me. Deepening the kiss, he places his arms on either side of my head.

"That's a good night kiss."

"Do always have to be so cocky?"

"No," he kisses me. It's different from usual, caring, loving. There's loves any other time, but it's different. He rests his head on me, "I want you in the bank. Cause I know it's safe, you won't get hurt. I don't want you to get hurt like last time."

"Last time? That was four years ago Tar." Wait a minute... "We weren't even going out back then! You're saying you've like me since then?"

"Good night, love you." He hops off turns over.

"Oi! Turn back over Tartaglia now!" I try to turn him, too hard. Gawd damn harbinger!

"I'm asleep..."

"If you were asleep, you'll be snoring."

He turns back, "I do not!"

"Got you!" I pin him to the bed. "Makes you feel better, I like you back then too. That's why I took the hit from the ruined guard."

"That's suppose to make me feel better?"

"The part about liking you too, idiot... Let's go to sleep." I lay on top of him.

"Uh... Do you have to sleep on me?"

"Yes, got to make sure you don't drift away."

He wraps his arms around me. "We're going out tomorrow."

I look up at him, "I got to do work. And I'm seeing Lumine and Paimon for lunch."

He growls, "no you're not. We're going to the beach."

"Is someone jealous? ~"

He rolls us over, "you're mine."

He's jealous, haha. Maybe I should make him jealous more often.
