Thor's POV
I watched as this red surge of power slammed into the dead bodies then into me. I was flung backwards and landed hard on the floor. I knew whose powers it was because I had seen it before. The surge happened again and it knocked me over.
"Harper!" I said in a whisper yell and I started running to where I believed Harper was. I found her and saw her cradling Loki's bleeding body in a pool of their bloods. Harper was crying heavily but she was getting weaker and weaker.
She was drooping onto the floor with Loki in her arms. "Harper, what happened?" I asked as calmly as I could, which wasn't very calm.
"Loki's dieing, help Loki." She said before fainting. I picked her up carefully and managed to grab Loki gently and hold him too. I started running to the medical wing, hoping my mother could help them.
I ran into the medical wing and my mother was standing there, attending to someone else. "Mother!" I yelled and placed Loki and Harper carefully on a bed together. "They've both been stabbed," I explained and my mother got to work healing them.
I watched from the corner and stayed out of the way unless I was called to help.
Harpers POV
I woke up with the worst pain I'd ever felt and I immediately screamed. My body felt like it was being burnt, ripped apart and put back together all at once. I screamed and cried for someone, anyone and Thor came to my side. "Harper? What's wrong?!" He asked, very distressed.
"It hurts! Everything HURTS!" I screamed and felt tears burn their way down my face. "Please make it STOP!" I yelled and took deep breathes to control the pain. It wasn't working well. I whimpered and cried as Queen Frigga came over to me.
"I'll use my magic. It'll sooth you." She said and put a tender hand on my forehead. Within moments my pain was dulled to a buzz of its former self.
"Thank you," I whimpered and pulled a near by blanket around my body. Frigga nodded then hurried away to help someone else by the sound of it.
I breathed deeply and Loki's body flashed before my eyes. "Loki," I whined and Thor handed me a small quare hankerchief to wipe my eyes. I cleaned my face from tears then looked at Thor. "I'm sorry you lost Loki." I said and Thor pulled me into a hug.
"I'm sorry you lost your beloved." He said and I felt a few drops of tears hit my back. Thor was crying which made me feel better about my tears.
I heard footsteps and Odin stood in the corner. I smiled weakly at him, "And you lost a son." I said and motioned for him to come over to us. He walked over to us and smiled weakly. Something about his face told me he was sad to have lost Loki even if he treated Loki like scum.
"We will miss him." Odin said and I nodded. Thor released me from the hug and helped me get comfortable again. They both ignored the groans and grunts I made as there was nothing they could do to help me.
"Thor, take her to Midgard tomorrow." He said then walked away. I knew why he was leaving now. His eyes were shinny and his cheeks were damp.
"Yes Father," Thor said and looked back to me. He looked so sad and empathetic that it made me more upset.
"What now?" I asked and let silent tears roll down my face. Thor sat next to me.on the bed and gave me a side hug with one arm.
"I have suffered through many of my Brother's fake deaths but this feels different. This feels...real. I...I don't know what we do now." Thor said which did not make me feel better. It made me feel so so so much worse.
"Gee thanks." I said and rested my head on his shoulder. "This was real. I saw it in his eyes. In the pain etched into his face." I said. I was so mentally and physically drained that my mind was giving up on everything. "Why does this have to happen? Why does life have to be so complicated and unfair?" I asked him but I got no response. If I did, I didn't hear it as I fell asleep straight after asking him that question.
My sleep was from the amount of energy I had used and the exhaust from my power. I felt so tried. "I love Loki," I mumbled as my brain shut down for the night.
Thor's POV
Harper fell asleep with her head resting on my shoulder. She mumbled in her sleep but I thought nothing off it. I should have.
I picked her up carefully and tucked her into the bed. I put a light blanket over her and turned off the lights for her. I left the room and closed the door carefully to see my mother standing outside Loki's medical wing door.
My mother, my father and I went inside the room and looked at Loki's body. "What now Mother?" I asked and looked at my lifeless brother.
What she said shook me to the core. Can she really do that? Is it possible for her to do this? I guess we will find out soon.
